...If you've ever stayed in a hotel you've probably noticed that the Sebo is the choice of housekeepers around the world. Why? because it does the job better than any other vacuum cleaner. These machines are powerful and get the job done. We used to have a Dyson, which bit the dust (pardon the pun), and this is when I chose the Sebo as a replacement. In my household its been determined that along with putting out the rubbish, vacuuming is a man's job?! Hence, I chose the vacuum cleaner and I chose a man's vacuum cleaner not one of these funky highly coloured lightweight cleaners which crack everytime you hit the skirting boards. Sebo Vaccum

Advantages: Great on pet hair
Disadvantages: Short hose

...After years of thinking that Dysons were the only vaccum cleaners to own I finally gave up on them & bought this Sebo and I haven't looked back since. Excellent on polypropane carpets if you own animals especially those that shed alot of hair. Easy to use if you are taller than average no bending backs and the bag is still not full after 2 months of daily cleaning after 2 boys, 2 medium dogs & 3 cats. Nice long lead so you dont have to keep unplugging it when you move about the house. The only thing I would suggest is purchasing the extension hose if you have stairs as the one supplied is a little short. I love this vaccum and I would never buy another dyson!! But I would buy another Sebo....

...This Sebo upright vacuum cleaner was purchased because I was looking for an efficient easy to use cleaner that was good on carpets and that I could also use on the stairs and upholstery. The Sebo was recommended to me by the staff in the department store as being suitable for use in a household where some of the family have asthma. Sebo Felix - Red Carpet Cleaning!

Advantages: Lays flat, light weight, powerful, attractive, changable heads, good reach
Disadvantages: Sometimes falls over if not clicked into head properly

...This is surely the greatest home vacuum cleaner around! It was recommended to me by local shop who told me that they had been given one as a demo and had thrown away their commerial cleaner! The head is removable so that you may hoover the stairs less its weight. The nozzle has a long range and a carpet attatchment which is ideal for carpeted stairs. I am able to vacuum under all of my setees due to the excellent "lay-flat" nature of the Sebo. On turning the vacuum cleaner on it automatically pulls away itself...this makes for amazing cleaning of the carpets (makes hoovering so much easier too!!) Sebo X1 vaccum cleaner.

Advantages: Great vaccum cleaner, picks up EVERYTHING
Disadvantages: can be a little heavy, wiring can be stripped easily.

...I have a part time job as a cleaner whilst I am studying at university and this is the vacuum I use. I can't tell you where to buy it or how much it costs to buy or maintain since I just don't know but I can give an honest opinion of it since I have used this for over 2 years now. This vacuum will pick up anything. At home I have a Dyson which most people think are great- SEBO is out of its league! In the place I work people bring in a lot of dirt on shoes, sand and sometimes guide dog hair and I have never had a problem with any of this. I have never had the brush stick with hair which is a particular problem with my Dyson. The vacuum glides across the floor when on and I have no problems with it. I am however young and male and I feel that those who are older and (without being sexist) girls may find it quite heavy to use...

...This vacuum cleaner is awesome! It comes from Sebo, a German manufacturer. Hoover may cling on to its British heritage, with a plant in South Wales. Dyson has fled these shores to profiteer in the Far-Eastern sweatshops, and we are swamped with cheap and nasties. Dyson has let us all down. I bought one about four years ago, and thought "Wow!", I was impressed by the bright colours, and the huge balls of fluff spinning around in the cylinder. Perfect cleaner for pet lovers!

...We recently moved to a rented house that has new beige carpets throughout. Not a good thing when you have three cats, a dog and a man to clean up after! Our previous landlord had provided a basic hoover which had repeatedly clogged with pet fur so now that we were buying our own we decided to do a lot of research to get the right one. Dyson had just launched their Animal which was designed for pet hair but when we looked at it it was huge, VERY heavy and unattractive. The Sebo in comparison is a dream. I'm only petite and I found I could easily lift the Sebo and move it around with ease. It seems to glide across the carpets when cleaning and makes hoovering easy and almost enjoyable! It's very fast at adjusting the height for different surfaces and it's so much easier that the computer does it for you. A perfect clean every time...
