Cadburys Christmas Selection Boxes

Advantages: Here we go chocolate again
Disadvantages: overpriced

...Well this one had to be a bit on the festive side and today I went to bingo and won £50 and a mountain of selection boxes. Now these are a treat as I do not normally buy them now as all my friends kids are all grown up, but secretly I do like to get one or two. The Cadburys 99p section box is the one I am going to write about, however you can get larger ones that go up to around £5 and if you look out for the £2.99 ones you can normally buy two for a £5. Bargain eh, well lets take a look. The Packing = A very pretty tin foiled packet measuring around 12 inches by 8 inches. The writing is in gold and says Cadbury and in red it has selection. ...I know you will think I am a little early to talk about cadbury's christmas selection boxes, but I just had to let you know what deals are out there if you look early. There are some bargains to be had if you buy them in packs of two or maybe even three, depending on the size of your family. I managed to buy a pack of two for £3-99, and was feeling rather pleased with myself until I went into another shop and found I could buy three for five pounds. At last! A selection box for adults!

Advantages: great selection
Disadvantages: wrappers could be fiddly, makes you crave the big versions

...Remember how when you were a child every Christmas you were guaranteed to get at least one selection box? And weren?t they great? Admittedly you always got a few duff bars and there was the sibling factor (must not eat my favourite bar before my sister eats hers) but oh they were good. I found this little aladins cave which is packed full of low budget bargains in Rutherglen shopping centre which i usually only visit for a cafe lunch as the shops in recent years really havent been up to much but when i noticed a new shop had filled the space of one of the many vacant retail units i couldnt resist going in for a quick browse. Before i knew it i had been in the shop for more than 45 minutes and was making my way to the till with arms full of pretty summer dresses and a few other goodies. Chocolate Perfection

Advantages: They're Beautiful Chocolates!
Disadvantages: Not suitable for nut allergies

Basically it is unlike any other chocolate before mixing a 'hard' chocolate case with a soft truffle like center that actually melts in your mouth. No lie. The taste is very creamy regardless of the type of chocolate and is of a rich nature. Normally this would mean that you can't eat a whole box but we had one in our family and it went within two hours!! The first thing I reccommend doing is smelling it. I once read in a newspaper article that smelling chocolate for 2 mins before you eat is meant to enhance the taste by almost 200%. Not really sure how they measure that kinda thing but I know that it does release 'happy hormones' (the same one as when you have sex!); so really, it can't fail to please. Orgasm Chocolates, Better than Sex?

...I was saying to my best friend that we need some good clothes shops for women in our area. We live in a small town with not a great variety of shops, the one store we usually went to was peacocks but i think they have started to go down hill a little bit,there clothes tend to look cheap. To our suprise the following week a new shop was to open and of course it was select , i was so excited i love to shop and it was local what more could i ask for. Select your favourite clothes at a low price

Advantages: Good clothes for the prices

...As I walk along the busy highstreet of Weston-super-Mare, Select cathes my eye with the big sale signs in the window. I instantly think ahhh plenty of bargins so I find myself trying to weave myself though the crowds and eventually I have reached the shop. I'm standing in the doorway of Select scanning the shop with my eyes deciding in which direction to head. The shop looks crammed with people and the clothes rails look quite close together so the layout to me isn't very pleasing. Oh well, I think to myself shall I risk getting squashed or shall I leave the gorgeous jeans to my right. Box Of Filth

Advantages: A value pack of classic horror
Disadvantages: The effect of this box set just is not right

...In 2000 this DVD box set would have been worth an arm and a leg. 2000 was a big year for banned movies, most of the movies that were banned in the UK were granted a certificate, most of which were passed uncut. However in 2005 when box of the banned was released it was practically worthless before it hit the shelves. The reason being is that most of the titles in this box set were released in 2000 and by 2005 were out in budget versions. When Box of the Banned was first released the asking price was £29.99, however the films in the set could be bought individually for less. Being somewhat of a completist when it comes to Horror movies I waited until January this year, when I purchased this 6 movie box set for just £9.99 from play.com. It has since risen again to £14.99 but its still a better buy now than purchasing individually. So...
