Natural Looking Tan - Finally!
Advantages: Looks great, easy to use, even colour.
Disadvantages: Can be a little messy
...of a special blend of fruit-acids with a dihydroxy-complex that creates this natural tanning lotion. It is not tested on animals as it contains no harmful ingredients that would require extensive animal testing (Great!) .

Before doing anything make sure that you are wearing gloves. These are provided, but your should be able to get suitable gloves from pretty much anywhere.
You must also wash, exfoliate, and moisturise beforehand (Day before is best - moisturise really really well), like with all other self tanning products, if you want to achieve the best results.
I tend to begin applying mine after a shower, again moisturising well. Once you are dry, begin applying the lotion, covering all areas (this is essential as it is hard to tell when is properly covered). On areas that you want...

Most natural tan!
Advantages: Natural tan, long lasting, easy to apply
Disadvantages: smells
...I use this product regularly and think it is the best fake tan of them all!
My best results have been when I exfoliate before and moisturise 3 hours before applying the tan. So I recommend doing this before you fake tan. Most of the time I skip this step as it still does acheive excellent results. I think it is important to leave 3 hours after moisturising for the skin to soak up the moisture otherwise this can make your tan not develop as deep.
The fake tan goes on brown so you can see where you are putting it a lot of the other fake tans out there go on colourless therefore you can't see where you have put it on and how heavy you have put it on. If I buy a new bottle I find the pump difficult to get the fake tan out however it does get going eventually.
It does go on streaky however aslong I cover the area with fake tan...

St Tropez Self Tan
Advantages: Great colour and very even colour
Disadvantages: Takes time and alot of effort
...St Tropez is a great range that contains all the products needed for a fantastic natural looking all year round tan.
It claims to work instantly for a streak less application that will last for days.
It comes in an 8oz bottle with a handy pump action, which makes it a lot easier to use.
I paid £26.50 for this, which I know does seem like a lot.
I initially brought the St Tropez mousse however this brought me out in a rash so I had to discontinue using it. My friend used this lotion so I borrowed a little bit and I didn?t have the same reaction so decided to give it ago. I did love this at first because it brought me out in such a dark tan and I even had one done professionally, which cost £25, I thought after it was a waste of money because it really is easy enough to do it at home and get the same results.
This is in my...

Amazing Fake Tan
Advantages: Natural Deep Colour
Disadvantages: Price
...After using tonnes of high-street fake tans I was very apprehensive about trying Fake Bake but decided to give it a go. The first time I purchased Fake Bake was from www.lookfantastic.co.uk and was in a set which included Fake Bake original lotion, body scrub and body oil and I was left with not much change from £50.00!! I thought it must be something special at that sort of price.
I followed the instructions that came with it and started off by using the body polish all-over in the shower. The Body Polish is great it smells great too, it doesn't take long to apply and makes your skin feel and smell gorgeous.
I then followed this busy using Fake Bake Body Oil, which as smells great. The oil is sprayed on whilst the skin is still wet and rubbed in gently. I then towel tried my skin and prepared myself for the fake tan.
I used...

St Topez Self Tan lotion
Advantages: Bottle last a long time
Disadvantages: Tan can wash off very easily
...When using this product you had to start in stages by doing a small section at a time. I found it was easier starting with the legs and spraying the product onto my leg then using an old sponge to spread it around as this product stains your hands terribly. It gave you a very good overall tan, although you needed to be sure you had covered all areas. I thought I had covered my feet an ankles well until the product had completely dried and I realised I had patches. I feel this is a good tanning product and the tan is very natural, however it washes off very easily and rubs of when near clothing. The bottle lasts a long time but dont quite feel it is worth the money as there is better products out there which are less hassle....

Self-tanning sensation..
Advantages: realistic colour!!!
Disadvantages: definitely the price
...I am always a bit sceptical about self-tanning products. I have tried about three of them so far and always ended up with very uneven strange orangey or dark brown colour. On one occasion it was sooo bad that I couldn’t wear a skirt for a week because whatever I tried I just couldn’t wash it off!!!
I have decided to give this product a chance after seeing it in every fashion magazine on the market.
First of all I have to say it is expensive!! I paid £29.95 for my 240ml instant self-tanning mouse at Harrods. I think the actual sun tanning lotion is a bit cheaper. The main difference between the mousse and the lotion is the time it takes to dry and the colour of the product. The mousse is much easier to use!
1) It is very easy to apply!!! So the product gets top marks just for that. The mousse itself already has...

Fake Bake still Original & the Best Fake Tan Ever Made
Advantages: a treat for your skin, Fake Bake is a treat for your skin. Imagine applying liquid chocolate and
Disadvantages: Fake Bake vs. St. Tropez - Fake Bake is the W I N N E R ! No Contest!
...Bake on for 2 days, then build up colour and have a beautiful Golden Tan, which lasts for weeks as long as I remember to moisturise regularly. Every single thing about Fake Bake I love - including the accompanying Passion Fruit exfoliator which smells absolutely luscious. I have eczema and the Fake Bake even gets rid of rashes! It contains 100 % Natural ingredients, so it is a treat for your skin and washes off sheets no problem. If I was to compare Fake Bake to St. Tropez, I prefer this to St. Tropez No Contest!! St. Tropez is far to chemically for me and if you have asthma or ezcema than I 'd say to you buy Fake Bake Please! Chemicals in products such as St. Tropez aggitate Asthma!!!...

Great for an even natural tan!
Advantages: Easy to apply, no streaks, healthy natural tan
Disadvantages: colour doesn't go as deep as the st tropez lotion, orange hands if you don't use gloves
...on for a few days! The mousse lasts me about 5 days on my skin slightly shorter than the lotion but it is a lot easier to use.
Personally I don't like the smell of st tropez but I do think the mousse smells better than the lotion. I think this is a good fake tan to use if you want to quickly put it on and go on a night out.
The tan gives me a natural healthy looking tan and I really like the mousse.
I used to buy this on ebay for about £20.00 for a large bottle, they sell a small bottle 120ml and a large bottle 240ml. This bottle would normally last me about a month and a half used once a week. I think the lotion bottle lasts longer.
You can also buy this product from boots etc however it retails for £30.00 for the large bottle and £15.00 for a small bottle so it is a lot cheaper to buy off ebay if you can wait for it to arrive....

The best self tan around? I beg to disagree!
Advantages: Easy to see where you're applying it, quick drying.
Disadvantages: Obvious FAKE tan, messy application, too expensive.
...I bought St Tropez Self Tan Lotion, after reading many reviews swearing that it was the best self tan product they had ever used. I was excited that finally, I might be able to have a natural, flawless tan instead of a patchy orange disappointment.
St Tropez Self Tan Lotion turned out to produce the latter result.
I shaved my legs the day before, exfoliated in the morning (especially my knees, wrists, hands, ankles, feet), moisturised about 3 hours before, and then applied the product using gloves and mixing with a small amount of moisturiser around my ankles, knees, feet, elbows, wrists, hands. It took a long time to apply, because even though I could see where I was putting it, the self tan didn't seem to want to stay on, I didn't even rub it in, but it started clumping together and then drying leaving some of that area white...

St Tropez Self-Tan Mousse
Advantages: Easy to apply, even coverage, no streaks, won't make you go orange
Disadvantages: May make you smell a bit like a stale biscuit for a few days after application
...the guide colour will wash off and make the water look quite dirty and murky ~ don't worry this is normal!! Underneath the guide colour will reveal a beautiful natural looking tan that you can be proud of ~ so long as you have applied it correctly there will be no streaks and the best bit is YOU WILL NOT BE ORANGE!
Without getting too technical, having spoken to my friends in the know in the beauty department, the reason you won't go orange with St Tropez is because it has a green based tanning agent which ensures natural colour; hence the price reflects this. Some of the cheaper tanning products on the market use a red-orange based tanning agent, hence the colour you end up reflects this. Clinique's self tanning mousse is another very good green based tanning product like St. Tropez and is a fraction of the price at £13.50. It also has...
