Greens Health & Fitness Club

Advantages: Fairly cheap membership fee, decent enough facilities
Disadvantages: A lot of niggling problems

...I have been a member at Greens Health & Fitness club in Stoke for around about three years now, as it is convenient for me to use and close enough to work to use at lunchtime. I was previously a member at Total Fitness Gym but left as the membership fees were getting too high. Greens has a good gym, with decent quality cardio machines (we have treadmills, exercise bikes, cross trainers, rowing machines, step machines and what we call 'wave' machines which give a similar motion to skiing), a weight room, two rooms for organised classes and a room with spinning bikes. There is a 25 metre pool with three jacuzzi's, a sauna and steam room, as well as an infra red sauna cabin, loungers and showers around the pool area. Great if you are interested in health and fitness-no celeb gossip

Advantages: No celeb gossip, no quick fixes (they never work!)
Disadvantages: occasionally repetitive

...If you are inteterested in health and fitness generally, including diet tips, then this is a great amgazine for you - provided you arent also looking for some celebriity gossip - which I am not. There are interviews in the magazine each month but these are usually with a sports star e.g. a recent edition contained an interview with an England netball player. I personally dont read these interviews in detail but I do glance over them and I think it is a great idea to feature sports stars who arent well known, earning millions of pounds a year. There are always easy to follow diet tips and information on current health products/info. This magazine also contains a workout section which provides you with new workout ideas - this is my favourite section and the reason I buy this magazine as it doesnt make out that you can be a size 8...

Advantages: Peace of mind, NHS under-funded and unreliable
Disadvantages: It costs money for private health!

...taking refuge in a hospital bed in our ward! I could go on all night; some might say I've been unlucky but I don't think so. My husband actually works for the NHS and sees a lot of what goes on both good and bad but is in agreement that I have not been treated with the care I was/am due - how ill does someone have to be before they are noticed in this over-busy, under-bodied NHS system? If things continue at this rate I feel private health will have to be the way ahead based on a highly competitively priced health service, similar to that which is currently active in European contries like France. Tesco Health Grill, Model HG36

Im having a new kitchen fitted on 7th April & have had to have the kitchen stripped of everything including my cooker, as I needed other work doing, including all the walls & ceilings plastered.
