Sennheiser HD 25 SP Headphones
Review of Sennheiser HD 25 SP by
mark100jazz
Advantages: Superior Sound at any level
Disadvantages: Cable a bit too short; could be a little more comfortable
...I own a pair of Sennheiser headphone that a mate of mine bought off ebay three years ago and they are just amazing. The sound quality is second to none and especially when I'm listening to the latest DVD releases. Just check the bass on these things; it's just as though I'm in the cinema when played on my portable DVD player and the sound is just deafening with no distortion from mid range to high no matter how hard you push them.
Build quality is not flashy, but is durable and small and near impossible to break; just the cable is a bit short but you can get a cable extension lead to fit. IV'e tested these againgst other headphones and they come out tops and for the price, you would have to pay a lot, lot more. Highly recommended...

Good sound for a reasonable price
Review of Sennheiser HD485 by
lea20
Advantages: Light, sound great, sounds as if the sound is in the room with you
Disadvantages: Bulky, long chord makes them a pain to travel with
...If you want to hear the full potential of your Hi-Fi, IPod or PC when it comes to music, we all know that it's no good to make do with those £10 pair of headphones you got with your Sony Walkman a few years back. But some of us are put off by the price of some of the pro headphones, yet they still want a good all round impressive sound. Roll on the Sennheiser HD 485's. At around £45 it won't break the bank and are considerably better sounding than something for less. You can't imagine them being a difference but there is. You won't know until you hear it for yourself.
When I first took these out of the package I noticed that they were futuristic looking, modern and smart. I also realised that they were very light weight and had cushioning around the ears and on top of the head so I thought they looked very comfy. At first when...

Sennheiser HD 497
Review of Sennheiser HD 497 by

Advantages: Fantastic sound quality, really crisp and clear. More comfortable than most headphones too!
Disadvantages: Very few. The cable is a bit short, perhaps?
....
Overall, the Sennheiser HD 497 headphones are an essential buy for anyone who really cares about their music but doesn't want to fork out a small fortune for headphones....

Sennheiser HD 495
Review of Sennheiser HD 495 by
Pacifica
Advantages: Affordable, comfortable
Disadvantages: Packaging
...The Sennheiser 495 is an open type headphone set manufactured from moulded plastic with black foam cushioning on the ear cups and headband. The headband is coloured black whilst the ear cups are a matt silver. A long removable lead is attached with gold plated terminals and an adaptable jack plug for standard and mini-jack. The headphones are adjustable and the ear cups incorporate a full range of movement which enables long periods of wearing with no discomfort.
The sound quality is excellent and provides a tight punchy bass without loss of treble detail. The stereo seperation is also very good and provides excellent crossover detail. I originally auditioned the cheaper Sennheiser 470 as it is a very neutral set and good for monitoring purposes, but the clarity of the bass on the 495 convinced me to re-think. The headphones...

Superb
Review of Sennheiser HD 201 by
ro67
Advantages: Excellent sound. Great value for money
Disadvantages: None
...These headphones have powerful bass and a smooth treble. They are perfect for any kind of music. The 6.3mm adapter and 3 metre long wire make the headphones great for DJing (which is what I use them for). They are fully adjustable to fit your head plus they are light and comfy. The weight and padded earpads sometimes make you forget the fact that you are actually earing headphones. They also look stylish and classy. They are also very affordable making them superb value for money at around £15 a pair. The main disadvantage is that they are not fully able to block outside noise when compared to high end sennheiser and bose but still block out the majority. They still perform brilliantly. Overall these are a pair of truely outstanding headphones and definately top in their price range....

Sennheiser HD 20. Value for money.
Review of Sennheiser HD 201 by
chowname
Advantages: Great sound, durable, cheap.
Disadvantages: Lacks the range that some higher end headphones can provide. Not always loud enough.
...Great pair of headphones if your on a budget. Sennheiser are known for their quality built headphones and these are no exception.
I originall bought them to plug into my amp and listen to my electric guitar "quietly". They performed pretty well at this and handled the low basses without distorting. The only slight downside is that they weren't very loud. I'm not one for really loud headphones, but when these reach a certain threshold of volume they start to distort a bit. Under most circumstances this is fine, but sometimes I find myself needing a touch more volume out of these.
I also use them now for listening to music and playing games on my PC. The headphones sound absolutely great for both music and gaming and the sound quality is really crisp.
The only difference you'l notice between these and an expensive pair of Sennheiser...

Sennheiser HD580 Precision
Review of Sennheiser HD 580 Precision by
STEFANN
Advantages: Stunning Sound and Very Comfortable
Disadvantages: None
...Having owned and been very happy with my old Sennheiser headphones, plus the fact that I do spend quite some time using them, mainly due to poor television and the winter months, an upgrade was required. I am lucky to have 3 good hi-fi shops in Reading which all stock Sennheisers. I did try some Grado phones which sounded quite wonderful but where not very comfortable, and so tried the above without knowing the price! WOW £200, but wait, they fitted very snug to your ears, sounded like a fortune and where very well made, could this pesuade me, NO, but wait said the assistant,Sennheiser had just upgraded their headphone range and this pair were now available for £99. Great news, but I will just check the new model that had replaced these, and although they looked smarter and felt lighter they did infact look very cheap compared...

So comfy, you won't want to take them off!
Review of Sennheiser HD202 by
UberRage
Advantages: Incredibly comfortable, feels like you're not wearing them
Disadvantages: Impractical for public use | Can crush ears after extreme prolonged use
...I, like many other people, love to immerse myself for a couple of hours in some of my favourite music, and I find this experience enhanced by the Sennheiser HD 202 headphones.
Well, Sennheiser are one of the most reputable companies making headphones in the world, so, as expected, they are INCREDIBLY comfy. I cannot stress it enough, it feels as if you aren't even wearing them! The centimetre+ of padding really works!
As you would hope, the sound quality is awesome, the only reason it is let down is if the track is distorted by compression. They have good bass, and they pick up every single note.
The headphones look quite good also, with a smart all balck design, which is actually quite eye-catching. They also come with a 'wire-wrapper', which stops wires trailing all over the floor, and an adapter for a keyboard etc.
There's only...

Good, but they reflect the price...
Review of Sennheiser HD 205 by
tomdunn21
Advantages: Very cheap, strong build, great quailty sound.
Disadvantages: Uncomfortable after a long time, cord is rather long.
...and warm).
Overall considering the price, I am pleased with these headphones and if you don't plan to use them for extensive use(or have a really small head!) they should be very satisfactory. They do live up to the good reputation of Sennheiser products....
