Disney Princess Microphone

Advantages: good idea, pretty and girly
Disadvantages: not great tunes, doesn't hold together well

...My daughter is a real little performer and she will sing and dance at almost every opportunity - cue singing Christmas songs and dancing in Tesco recently!! Quite often at home she would use a hairbrush as a microphone to sing in to so I thought about buying her a proper microphone for Christmas. I came across a Disney Princess microphone so that seemed ideal as my little girl is absolutely mad over the Disney Princesses! Take the Microphone and Throw it Away

Advantages: It doesn't take up too much room in the toy box
Disadvantages: Too many to list.

...This is probably one of the most irritating toys we own (and we own a lot). I bought it for my youngest daughter (aged 14 months at the time) for Christmas, and for a few other kids I know (sorry everyone!), thinking it was a great gift because all kids like to hear their own voice magnified and like prancing about 'performing' their songs. **Music To Sing To** It has so many different sounds and songs that I still have not quite figured out how it works, I just know that you can turn a dial at the top or press one of the 4 buttons located around the sides of the microphone to activate various noises, mainly music (if you can call it that!) The ring that you twist at the top has 12 different animal pictures on it and I think as you turn it, the microphone will play a tune relevant to the animal you have selected - for example...

Maplin Microphone Stand With Boom

Advantages: Boom removable from main stand, making mic stand useful for guitarists and pianists.
Disadvantages: None really

...fairly reticent in her nature. In fact, in her earlier days it was I who suggested she join a stage school in the hope of improving her confidence. She is shy but loves to have a microphone in hand and to be on stage. The nerves, once she starts to sing, disappear. Because of her hopes of pursuing a singing career we (her parents) have now bought a few microphones for her. The last microphone we purchased was as a Christmas gift for 2009. I should have, at the same time, bought a stand to go with it as there was a linked offer.
