...These cars are the most affordable large saloons and hatchbacks on the road today. It amazes me that they have received so much bad press. This is the way I see it. New they were £20,000 NOW they are nearly all under £2000 They are quick, they look good and they drive well. The basic ones like the 820i, 820si and the sli are not worth buying unless you are on a tight budget. There?s three models that ARE worth buying though. 1. The 820, 825 and the 827 Sterlings are luxurious machines with all the extras Leather upholstery, aircon, electric everything etc. The only drawbacks are that they are ALL auto gearbox versions and the ride is soft due to the ?boaty? suspension. 2. ...In my opinion this phone is one of the best slim line phones out there out the moment because of its really smooth design thats like the slvr but better and slimmer. Also something you don't tend to see is a 2 mega pixel camera becasue of the slim design the camea tends to be vga but samsung have somehow managed to put a 2 mega pixel camera in which takes great shots that you can then upload onto the computer. ...It could be called the anorexic mobile phone. Had a "brick" by Nokia called N70, the worst I ever had. Had a U600 and a U800 both by Samsung, a gentle offer by the network providers. My wife had a tocco (pink) that she hardly could understand what the people on the other side of the connection were saying End up always returning to my dear X820. Light, slim, does what a mobile phone should do, connects to the pc via Bluetooth or cable almost instantly, the battery last for longer that you would expect even with the Bluetooth always on. The others models are good but had for some times to switch off remove the SIM and put everything back on again for the phone go back to work. ...Personally I love this new design of ulta thin phones ( a craze started with the Mororola RZR) and the X820 is probably the most stylish of the lot. At 4.4 by 1.9 by 0.27 inches (from spec page), the Samsung slips comfortably into pockets and wont look un-sightly bulging out of your jeans. ...My Rover 820i has just turned 150,000 miles at the tender age of 7 years old. The car has worn well with miles; it looks and drives like a 50,000 miler. The Engine hasn?t developed a smoking habit just yet due to it being serviced 16 times in it?s 150,000miles and still goes like a whippet on viagra rather than a donkey with a punctured lung. This performance was a surprise to me considering that 2litre engine is pulling a car which weighs in on the fat side of a ton. The car moves itself to sixty bang on 10 seconds and will happily toddle on to 120+mph at a surprisingly rapid rate. All this is thanks to the fact that the 2litre engine is a twin cam, 16valve and produces 136bhp. 136bhp is 4bhp more than fords fancy pants vvt, zetec engine which they put into the Mondeo and the Focus.
