...possibilities and situations that can occur. However, I do think a bit too much change has gone on. The focus has gone away from Thomas and the other original engines. The emphasis on the programme being about the railway has also been slightly changed. Their isn't enough attention given to the engines and the other activities that actually occur on the lines. If this railway was to be real, it would be even worse than the network that we have today. The amount of times that the engines seem to be late and break down is rather a lot. I don't how the islanders on Sodor put up with the rail service! The new episodes and stories can be seen on ITV1, mainly during CITV at around 3:20 in the afternoons. Flush out your filthy pipes

...mentioned gunge over myself which was not a pleasant experience and resulted in a lot of swearing. I went down to my local hardware store determined to find something to dissolve the gunge but every product I looked at wasn't suitable for washing machines, only your regular household pipes. I was determined not to have to pay a plumber as I knew it was only a small job, but once you add on call out , fix it time (usually 10 minutes) then 'faff about time' to make up the hour , I'd be looking at £100 being handed over (apologies to those more honest plumbers out there!). I was a little surprised as to the area that it was in, but hey ho that is Ciao for you as they put it there supposedly! But anyway, back to the subject in mind. How do I use the library service? Well, you have to actually be a member in order to use pretty much any of the facilities that are on offer. It is usually free to join, but there are usually stipulations that you must agree to meet prior to joining: 1. That you are a permanent resident in the area that provides the service. If you live in Devon or Cornwall, then you can't use the service in Avon or Somerset. Awdry, but is based on the characters which he created. ?Thomas and the Jet Engine? is a very sturdy hardbook book which measures 15.8 x 15.4 x 1.6 cm. Tomy Thomas the Tank Engine, it's a true friend of kids

Advantages: A great toy in your child's collection.
Disadvantages: None in my opinion .

...Thomas the engine and it's friends are all very popular toy trains. My 22 month old son grew interested in these after watching their shows. He wouldn't ask for anything besides these trains. He also remembers all their names very well, Thomas being the foremost of them all. I have collected a whole series of Thomas engines and Tomy is one of those. It's a dark blue coloured engine with round eyes that attract the children. It's bottom is red and it has a steam outlet right on it's top. It works well with a set of tracks that are sold separately. It's size is also very appropriate. I think my son wouldn't part with it. He simply loves it and expresses that this is his best friend. Mine came in for 12 pounds. It's a very good bargain for this great toy. It's a one in itself toy that can keep your child busy for hours...

...Edward the very useful engine is a book based on the Thomas TV series. The front cover of the book has a picture of Edward and Thomas and there is a purple banner above the picture with the title of the book in yellow lettering. The back cover of the book is also purple and has a yellow square with smaller pictures of a few other titles available in the collection. This edition is in hard back. THE STORY The book starts by telling us a bit about some of the engines on the Island of Sodor. Here comes a Fire Engine!

...My husbands Aunt very kindly always buys our son (Oakley), and our nephew, a gift for christmas and she likes it to be fun, but educational. She gave him this 'Here comes a Fire Engine' DVD for Christmas 2006, when he was two and this remains his favourite DVD today. Our nephew had 'Here comes a Digger' which is also very good, but this one wins hands down every time! This 'real life' film is narrated by 'Uncle Nick' who has a lovely deep but jolly voice. All Christmas day he wouldn't put it down and it has been one of his most played with toys ever since. The Fire Engine itself is quite a good size and chunky in design which makes it perfect for small hands. The age range of this toy is from 12 months plus. The Fire engine comes with three little firemen that each have a hole in their underside so that they can be fitted in to the ladder or in the driving seats of the engine.
