...absolutely beautiful - hot enough that everyone acquires the relaxed attitude inevitable from living in that sort of climate, and yet not too hot that it is arduous to walk around outside. There are an endless litany of things to do - whether you enjoy seeing the sights, or sitting in those shady Spanish bars consuming inhuman amounts of tapas and indulging in a cool pint of Cruzcampo (look out for the fat Cruzcampo man, he comes in two sizes), watching a bullfight or flamenco performance, or simply sitting on a river bank soaking up the sun and watching the fishermen, Sevilla has it all. Oh, and the nightlife is great as well - don't plan to be back at your hotel before 6. That's fine though, because you can catch up the lost sleep in the afternoon. SEVILLE - Lived there, spent holidays there and keep going back!

Advantages: Beautiful, cultural and historic city with attractions and shopping for everyone
Disadvantages: To hot to visit during July/August

There are hundreds of organised tours which you can take, a trip up the River Guadalquivir -by river boat or you can hire a paddle boat if you are feeling energetic. Details of many organised trips are available through the internet, it is best to browse if you want to organise your days as they tend to be ´themed´and thus if you like old buildings and monuments you can pick a tour which is geared to those attractions. The hotels is central Seville can be pricey, but if you shop around you may will some good deals. ...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights. LOCATION: The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal. PRICE: Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...
