...This is a brilliant program for any sci-fi fan. Anyone who saw the film and liked it would also like this program. Stargate SG-1 is a spin off from the film Stargate. It contains action, drama and little humour which makes this series great to watch. It is suitable for all ages . The series follows the missions of the SG-1 team who travel to different planets through the Stargate - a different one each episode, meaning new adventures and problems for each place they go. Advantages: It's a Gibson!

...I saw my first Gibson SG in the 80's when I went to see AC/DC during the For Those About to Rock tour (yes, unfortunately I am that old!). As I walked away from that gig I swore to myself that I would own one of those guitars one day. Twenty years later I finally realised my ambition when my brand new Gibson SG Special finally arrived on my doorstep. First the specifications: Two 490 humbucker pickups Mahogany body Rosewood fingerboard Dot inlays "Kluson" type machineheads. Available in Wine Red or Black The SG Special is the 'no-frills' little brother of the SG Standard, although most of the differences are cosmetic such as an unbound neck and uncovered pickups. ...Stargate SG-1 is a science fiction television series which follows the adventures of a top secret Air Force team, SG-1, as they travel through a portal called the "Stargate." Stargate SG-1 is based upon the feature film "Stargate," created by Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich ("Independence Day," "Godzilla"). The series itself was created by Jonathan Glassner and Brad Wright ("The Outer Limits") and stars Richard Dean Anderson ("MacGyver"). Stargate is my favourite series after "charmed". I have seen the film which I thought was good but must admit the series is so much better. The characters are great. I think the best actors are Tealc and Colonel O'neil. ...Stargate SG-1, I love this series. Here is what it’s all about. OVERVIEW Stargate SG-1 is a Canadian TV Series that became a spin off from the 1994 Movie ‘Stargate’. The concept of the show was kept the same as the film, but the cast were completely different except for one ‘Skaara’ played by Alexis Cruz. Stargate SG-1 is based on Earth, in Canada, in an area named Cheyenne Mountain. The Stargate is a big round device that once activated creates a wormhole connecting it to hundreds, even thousands of other Stargates in the Universe. The Gibson SG Standard guitar is the shining star of this line of guitars, for a whole variety of reasons. Advantages: Fantastic Appearence, Sound, just an amazing guitar

...When i saw Kelly Jones ( Stereophonics ) on stage strumming a cherry red , Gibson SG Classic, the sound so crisp and fine. I had to have it.Not only does the SG look fantastic its one of the best guitars ive ever played.To any guitar enthusiast there is Always some respect for the SG as it is many big artist faviroutes. These include Kelly Jones, Hard FI, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Blur to name a few. I first played on an SG after hours and hours of Stratocasters, Telecasters, Flying V's and Westwoods. All had good points but none made me feel like spending 100's. It needed to feel like id been playing it for years, a soft, fast paced fretboard, a heavy stock head, A stocky base , something i could really FEEL vibrate when i plugged it into the amp.So when i first plugged it in at PMT Oxford and strummed that deep A minor i knew... ...This is the second guitar i bought. I personally have only been playing guitar for 3 years so i do not understand all of the technical details of guitar and so this review is more applicable for first time buyers/players. The SG is well built (mine has taken a few knocks already) which makes it a good choice if you need to cart it around a lot. The neck gives you access to all the frets with ease. The frets themselves are relatively long which may be of benefit to learners but more experienced players may not necessarily like. The sound from the two pick ups is good and you can get a wide variety of sounds from them. Overall the effect i get is more of a muddy sound than a sharp noise which suits the music i play but might not for some. I find that the problem with this guitar is its wide neck. ...! A limited edition Gibson for sale in 30 years time? You could make yourself a nice profit if you keep good care of it. Buy it if you want a fast metal, rock guitar but if you are looking for cleaner tones have a look at the more versatile standard sg.... Read review

Advantages: "its amazing"

...£800 burning in my pocket; an old guitar needing replacing and an eye for beauty. Entering Rhodes Music we were surrounded by guitars covering all the walls. Having trawled all the guitar sites imaginable over the past couple of weeks I immedialtely homed in on the SG Classic. Although my original colour (Heritage Cherry) was not available the Ebony Stain at the shop grew on me quickly. The colour seems to change as you move it around- and moreover is not very common. The neck is wider and flater than my Strat but I got used to it very quickly. It seems to be able to do humbuckers and strat-like single coils which as my friend dan says is "amazing". A very stable instrument at a bargained down £800 (including gig-bag, 2 sets of strings and loadsa plectrums). I love it- anybody who wants to spend £800 on a guitar this is a definate...
