Advantages: It is an all in one 'phone, looks very good, is simple to use

...I bought this mobile on the basis that it was shiny and new primarily (yes I know I am shallow) but I have since been very impressed with the features, ease of use and quality. I normally use a mobile to only telephone people with and the Samsung SGH U600 does that with ease. Reception coverage has been flawless everywhere from Southend up to Derby. However I have found myself using the other features more and more. I like the simple way it handles text messaging ( I don't bother with grammer/punctuation but do spell words correctly). ...The best thing about the Samsung SGH X830 is its appearance; unfortunately, the praise for this rather small phone ends there. The mp3 player is far to quiet as are the ringtones and the sounds provided with the phone clumsy and childish. The screen is far too small and narrow, even for those with perfect eyesight and the small buttons hard to use. The swivel is one of the nice touches of the phone adding character and is relatively easy to use. However do note that samsung have not released the latest firmware for the phone, so some features you may have seen or heard about with the phones software may not be accesible unless you find and install the firmware update like i did.
