...The Headlines on Monday Morning in all Leading Newspapers: India's dismal performance shows it all.... Well India no doubt played well in Nairobi in the ICC knockout trophy.But they went down to NewZealand in the finals.We cant say that India is still a side having players involved in match fixing.The reason is that India didnt perform well on that particular day.In the same way when they were in Sharjah playing against Srilanka and Zimbabwe,we cant say that they played badly,they did perform but not to their mark,and so we went down in the final to Srilanka by a very big margin and this has constituted the lowest ever Indian total.Well some of our friends say that India presently undergoing problems like match fixing is still under the pressure of this "Fixing" stuff.But the present team has a lot of new players like Zahir Khan...

Making of a Legend - Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar

Advantages: champion, legend, character, talent
Disadvantages: nil

...series that followed. Following that the two teams flew to Sharjah for a triangular series. This time Sachin wanted to make a point by winning the cup for his team. He almost single handedly took India to the finals and then won the finals with back to back centuries. From then on Sachin has become a legend and his domination over all opposition continued. Snow Hits United Arab Emirates

Disadvantages: Freezing

...emirates that make up the U.A.E. the others being Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah and of course Dubai. Leaving Dubai you follow the coast through Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain and continue onwards approximately 75km total until you reach Ras Al Khaimah. Here you will find one of the most fertile regions of the U.A.E. and the most gorgeous scenery you are likely to see in the country. The town like many others on the coast relies on the sea and houses an ever needed port for pearling, trading and fishing. The town only has 3 substantial hotels although there are smaller very basic ones to be found. They are seeking to get the Airport given International status which would be a boon for the tourist trade and the economy of this smaller emirate. Approximately 20min from the Airport you will find Ras Al Khaimah shooting club...

Living in Dubai

By the end of 2005 there will be the worlds largest indoor ski resort (with snow), a hotel, a 14 screen multiplex cinema and numerous shops and food outlets. Many beaches, beach parks and parks can also be found all over Dubai. From Dubai you can easily explore the rest of the United Arab Emirates (recommended), Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Hatta, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain, East Coast and even Oman by car or 4 x 4. Most places can be reached within about 1 ½ hrs or less. When going into Oman you have to obtain a visit visa which can be picked up at the road border for between £3 ~ £5. It can be expensive to drink here as you can only drink in bars in the hotels, but with the many hotels here you are never stuck for someplace different to go...

...I purchased this game over 2 years ago know and after playing it solid for almost six weeks i still occasional play it. A classic for al the cricketers out there. To be fair only those that enjoy the sport will enjoy this game. The gameplay is pretty good and the graphics also good. You have 100% control over the batting and bowling. You have the ability to change the direction, spin, swing and seam of the ball. And in batting you can select precisely which shot you want to play either off the back or front foot. The game also features the ability to change the type of pitch, weather conditions and match conditions. There are 3 different playable levels of difficulty and trophies to unlock like the Sharjah by winning the normal ones. ...? because I mentioned earlier, it was our last day. Mr. Basil Bahar, a businessman for many years in Dubai, founded French Connection in 1997. It started off catering to Emirates Airlines crew but due to its great success, it expanded to further outlets in Karama, Garhoud Village and Sharjah. Sheikh Zayed Road is still the cafés main branch. The café does a takeaway service too. While we were sitting in the café having our breakfast, plenty of people, locals and tourists, came in and ordered takeaway or came top pick up their custom made cakes. The café struck me as the kind of shop that many people don?t know about, but of those that do, they come here all the time. The café also caters for meetings, birthdays, etc. We also found that French Connection Café do a home delivery service! Fancy breakfast in bed? Give this lot a call...

Good base, but better going elsewhere.

Advantages: A chance to meet a very diverse community, as you are in the UAE you are very close to some amazing countries (for example, 2 hour flight from the himilayas, an hour flight from Oman, 2 Hour flight to India)
Disadvantages: Some Emirates or states are 'dry' which means no alcohol, Can be especially difficult to get a job (especially men), a general reluctancy to give work permits - resulting in a constant flight out of the country (2 months if you're British)
