The Charm Of Sharm
Advantages: Friendly locals, nice beaches, family orientated, hot, good for diving
Disadvantages: Some of the locals can be pushy, sunburn!
...Myself and my boyfriend have just returned from an 11 night stay in Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt.
Where is Sharm El Sheikh?
Sharm el-Sheikh is probably one of the most popular places for people to visit in Egypt and it is certainly the most developed tourist resort. It is situated on the Sinai Peninsula.
How Long Does It Take To Get To Sharm?
The flight to Sharm takes just over 5 hours from any of the London Airports which isn?t too bad.
Sharm Airport
We were told before we went on holiday that Sharm airport is really manic but we didn?t find that at all, this could be due to that fact that they had a new terminal open earlier this year.
The airport is fairly small, especially considering that I am comparing it to the London Airports.
Avoid the local men with the trollies for your luggage, they will try and charge you £2...

Premier Inn, Charing Cross Glasgow
Advantages: Close to town and all amenities
Disadvantages: none
...I have never stayed in the Premier Inn before, but I felt I had to share my experience of the past weekend.
The staff in both reception and the restaurant were fantastic, they were really helpful and made you feel right at home.
The room and bathroom were both spotless, warm and the freeview television meant that my daughter didn't miss her soaps while she was away. The bed was both big and comfortable and we didn't have any trouble getting to sleep.
We opted for the breakfast deal and we were not disappointed, the food was well cooked and warm there was also plenty of choice.
Access to the hotel was excellent for both able bodied and non-able bodied people, we didn't have a wheelchair but we did have a six month old baby and a pram, and even though it is situated next to Charing Cross rail station we didn't hear a thing from...

The Inn and I
Advantages: centrally located, reasonable room rates
Disadvantages: no parking, as it's on a main road some noise is possible
...Having attended a conference here before in one of the conference suites, and having stayed overnight at the hotel a few month's ago, I felt it was time to post a review of the Inn on Ciao.
~ The location ~
Jury's Inn Croydon is situated on the A212, Wellesley Road in central Croydon. This is one of the busiest roads in the borough and the hotel is only about a ten minute walk from mainline East Croydon station and the smaller West Croydon station. There are numerous buses that stop virtually right outside the hotel, which serve south London, as well as several tramstops nearby making it easily accessible to Wimbledon, amongst other places.
~ On arrival ~
The hotel is only a few years old, and the exterior of the building is clean and modern. There are about 8 or 9 floors of bedrooms in this hotel, with the first floor...

The Mill Inn - - the inn on the canal
Advantages: Lovely location, comfortable and friendly
Disadvantages: None that I can see
...The Mill Inn was converted from an old grain mill in 1992 into a 15 bedroom hotel, set in its own intensive grounds - it was then known as Thurnham Mill. Last year it had a major refurbishment and its name was changed to The Mill Inn.
The Mill Inn is part of the Mitchells chain.
Mitchells of La ncaster Istarted in 1871, William Mitchell signed the lease on his very first pub and brewhouse - The Black Horse Inn, in Lancaster. Now Mitchell's of Lancaster is still family owned and the group consists of sixty pubs and five hotels, covering the city, coast and countryside of North Lancashire and South Cumbria.
The Mill Inn was converted from an old grain mill in 1992 into a superb 15 bedroom well-appointed hotel, set in its own igardens, and has recently undergone a major refurbishment.
The Mill Inn is on the very edge...

"LOCKED" INN . . .
Advantages: lovely rooms, great food, good location, easily accessible
Disadvantages: could be noisy at night
...This week I stayed at the Holiday Inn Camden Lock for three nights while I was in London for work. My only previous trips to London have had me staying in the ExCel Novotel in Docklands so this was a new experience for me.
LOCATION
The hotel is located in Camden, next to (predictably!) Camden Lock. It is about a five minute walk from Camden Town tube station, which makes it fairly convenient if you?re having to use public transport to reach it. The website states that the hotel is also outwith the congestion zone, which I guess means you could drive down to the hotel and then use it as a base to get elsewhere using the tube or buses. (Although its worth noting that the website also states the car parking facility is 1km away!)
As it is right off the main street, it is very handy for all the shops, restaurants and bars too. Which...

charming sharm
Advantages: diving is excellent
Disadvantages: pushy shop owners
...charming sharm, thats what it says as you enter. this resort is still in major development. security is tight so expect to see guards at the enterance to your hotel. this was a little unnearving at times especially as they all carry guns. many of the hotels are all inclusive which is great as a lot of the restaurants are dubious to say the least. we say meat being cut in the street in the heat of the day! naama bay is the main nightlife/shopping area in sharm. we didnt like it and will avoid next time. the egyptions were very pushy and rude if you didnt visit their shops. i really did want to do some shopping in sharm but struggled greatly. if you get the chance leave the resort and do some trips. any diving trip will be fab - the fish are amazing. the mt sinai trip is amazing but not for the faint hearted - its a 3 hr climb in the dark...

The Mussel inn
Advantages: Good quality mussels, good lunchtime deal
Disadvantages: Expensive if paying for a full price evening meal.
...The Mussel Inn is a seafood restaurant specialising in mussels, oysters and scallops. The Glasgow restaurant is at 157 Hope Street in the city centre and the Edinburgh one is at 61 Rose Street. I have only been to the Glasgow restaurant and so will primarily be reviewing that location.
First of all for anyone with environmental concerns the seafish is all from renewable sources from the lochs and sea lochs of Scotland's west (atlantic) coast.
The reason that I discovered the Mussel Inn was that my mum was lured in by their lunchtime deal and then brought me along another time to experience it. The deal is on mondays to fridays from opening to 5pm and consists of a large bowl of mussels in a choice of sauces (I recommend the cream, shallots and white wine which is the best for mussels!) with salad or chips, as much bread as you want...

The Riverside Inn
Advantages: Great location, modern rooms, good value for money, great food
Disadvantages: None
...I recently started a Diploma in Canine Massage and in order to start this course, I needed to travel to Devon and attend a workshop. I also needed to take one of my dogs with me so I set out in a mission to find a hotel or B & B that would allow me to have my dog stay with me.
The Riverside Inn was recommended to me by the tutor that runs the course (as the course is actually held in their function room) and they also allow dogs to stay in the rooms. So I booked my stay and headed off on my long drive to Devon?
Cost
I booked myself into a single room which cost me £45 a night. This price also included a full English breakfast. As I already mentioned, I had my dog Dax staying with me and I had to pay another £5 per night for him to be in the room.
The Room
Upon first entering my room, I was actually really impressed...

Sharm el Sheikh
Advantages: great weather for just a 5 1/2 hour flight, value for money
Disadvantages: hassle from shopkeepers
...I was lucky enough to visit Sharm for free in March this year - one of the perks of being a travel agent is we occasionally get 'fam trips' which means we are taken to a destination and shown around numerous hotels and the sights so that we are able to sell it confidently when back home. These trips are really beneficial, and I think I certainly appreciate them more now I am self employed. So there was a group of about 10 of us and we visited about 6 hotels each day getting the full tour, camera and notebook in hand. I must admit the company we went with - Med Hotels - had a lot of clout in Sharm and we were treated like royalty wherever we went. In hindsight I suppose this may have given me a rose tinted view of the place as everything was done for us, we even got fastracked through the aiport avoiding the dreaded queue.

Come Inn!
Advantages: *
Disadvantages: *
...~ Introduction ~
During half term there was an open day at De Montfort University, Leicester. As this is my second choice university I wanted to visit before I made my final decision. As it's over a four-hour drive from where I live my parents booked us into a hotel. They chose the Holiday Inn as it is located in the city centre and we have stayed in this chain of hotels before.
The hotel had 188 rooms with double beds and air-conditioning. It is currently undergoing refurbishment so we could smell paint on the floor we were staying on though this was stated online when we booked.
~ Priority Rewards ~
My dad is a member of the Priority Rewards scheme, which gives you points for staying in hotels in their chain (on any of the 6 continents). You can then exchange the points for a free stay in one of their hotels. These hotels...
