...This book details the life and loves of Sharon Osbourne, wife, moher, businesswoman, tv star, producer and former X-Factor retail judge. Sharon is wife to Ozzy Osbourne from Black Sabbath and mother to Jack, Kelly & Aimee. Sharon had quite a terrible upbringing at the hands of her father who was also Ozzy's manager for many years and proceeded to steal a large chunk of Ozzys fortune in early days which led to Sharon eventually taking over as Ozzy's manager which definitely seemed to help shape his career. There have been many ups (and more downs) in Sharons life and she talks about them in quite graphic detail in this book. Sharon gives off the impression that she is very fiery and independent but I think that deep down she really needs her family around her to help keep her strong and to give her something to fight for...

Sharon's Seeing Red Again!

Advantages: A great read

...Back in 2006, I read Extreme - Sharon Osbourne's autobiography. I really enjoyed it, so when I heard she had a second book out - Survivor - I borrowed it from the library and finished it last night. I think most people know who Sharon Osbourne is. As well as being the wife of Black Sabbath star Ozzy and mother of actress and singer Kelly, Sharon Osbourne is well-known in her own right, especially in the UK for her part on the judging panel of The X Factor. I wouldn't say I particularly like Sharon, but I have to admire the things she has achieved. I found Extreme to be quite shocking in parts, but overall, it was definitely a page-turner. Survivor is less shocking, but possibly more interesting in some ways. I certainly enjoyed reading it and it is one of those books you carry around with you, on the off-chance you may get time...

Advantages: A thoroughly enjoyable read.
Disadvantages: None.

...I wasn't a huge fan of Sharon Osbourne, I liked her, but didn't think enough so to read her autobiography. I was very wrong. The book is well written, fluid, humourous and thoroughly readable. Sharon Osbourne shocks with tales of falings out and dalliances with not only her family, but with well know celebrities too. There are several photos in the book too for readers to reflect on the Golden days of Ozzie! Sharon writes in a frank, honest and very, very witty way. You won't be able to put the book down so don't be suprised if you finish it all in one or two sittings. The book is not all jokes and shocking tales..it also touches the heart with very honest revelations from Sharon about the heartbreak she has been through, right from before she even met Ozzy. This book talks about her terrible relationship with her father...

Sala Samui Resort & Spa Review - Thailand

Advantages: Too many to mention, pure bliss!!!

...We booked a Sala Pool Villa for our 10 day honeymoon stay at the end of August 2006 and it was definitely the best hotel we've ever stayed at. From our arrival to departure our visit was totally hassle free and couldnt have been more enjoyable. The service given by the staff was amazing, they couldnt do more for us even if they tried. On arrival i was given a gorgeous bouquet of red roses and even though we were very early we were taken straight to our villa. What can i say but wow, the pictures do not do it justice. The bed was scattered with red roses petals and there was a bottle of sparkling wine and some chocolates waiting for us too. SHARON OSBOURNE - STRONG OR STUPID?

Advantages: Compelling - Easy to read most of the time
Disadvantages: Perhaps not for the faint hearted!

...I wanted to read this book for ages and finally got my hands on it recently and I was not disappointed. I loved the Osbournes with a passion - this eccentric, vulgar and most loving family had me glued to the screen. And Sharon on the X Factor was what made it for me with her 'realness'. But I could never understand why she was a judge on that show. Her husband is a rock god but so what? So reading this book I hoped would provide me with some answers about this incredibly clever, empathic and loving woman. Its an average sized read with 372 pages of which there are 24 pages of photos. Sharon spent her early life on my doorstep in Brixton (never knew that!!) and had 2 brothers, a rather distant Mother and a Father in the music business. The early days were full of struggles and a lot of uncertainty as the families welfare...

Does Sharon have the X-Factor... I think so!

...When I'd see Sharon Osbourne on programs such as the Osbournes and the X-factor what I would see was first and foremost a self-confidant, independent woman. She seemed to me to have the right mix of compassion and attitude. When I saw the autobiography I wanted to buy it to see how she had become this way. We never know what is under the surface of famous people. Was she instilled with the confidence from a young age by a loving family or has she developed it in spite of the life she had. What would it be like to be married to someone who has battled all his life with rumours, drugs and alcohol to then see your children begin to go the same way. When I saw this in the shops I couldn't resist the opportunity to find out. I had known she had an autobiography but at that point it had been consigned to the long list of books in my head...

Top Thai cuisine in downtown Vancouver

...I had been wanting to read Sharon Osbourne's autobiography since seing her on The X-Factor. I was not disappointed. This book takes you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions, from shock, sadness and pity to side-splitting laughter. From the moment i started reading I found it difficult to put down, I was addicted. Extreme gives you a great insight into celebrity life and makes you realise how difficult it really is. I have utmost respect for Sharon Osbourne to have overcome everything she has been through in her life to become the amazing person she is today. Thai me up, Thai me down

Advantages: Fabulously decorated restaurant, lots of choice

...bits of vegetation I wish they'd just passed it through a tea strainer before serving. This particular soup had enough bits to be tasty but not enough to cause annoyance. The satay was pronounced delicious and the hors d'oeuvres were presented on a high footed bowl with 5 or 6 different items and a bowl of spicy dip in the middle. I snaffled a wrapped prawn and a little nest of fried noodles with some prawn in the middle. ~ The main courses ~ My local Thai in Northamptonshire does stunning food but the portions are always a bit on the mean side. I was therefore amazed at the size of the dishes at the Sala Thai - nearly double the size I'm used to. Never a dull moment with this lady!

...This is a book I never actually went out to buy but was given by a relative and so I thought I would give it a go and found myself reading it over the Christmas period. It made quite a change from the Harry Potter series I have just finished. I personally became aware of Sharon Osbourne when The Osbournes went out on MTV. I had previous knowledge of Ozzy her husband but not of any of the rest of the family. I only watched a couple of the episodes and didn't find it that enjoyable to be honest. I did warm to Sharon when she became a judge on the X Factor reality TV show on ITV. The first thing I will say about this autobiography is that there is a fair amount of bad language in it.
