...I'm not overly fussed with some of the technical aspects of televisions, I don't even understand most of it so I'll do my best not to bore anyone with these during my review. As long as I can plug in my dvd player, my sky box and my nintendo wii with no problems I'm a happy bunny. I agree, Bush might not be a market leader when it comes to televisions (or anything for that matter) but this one looked nice. I bought this television almost two years ago to use as the main house tv. It sits proudly in the corner of my living room with the matching glass tv stand. Both were bought from Sainsburys. The TV itself was on sale and I managed to get it for under two-hundred pounds. Which is an absolute steal. The cheapest I can find it for at the moment is around the £300 mark. Sharp Aquos LCD TV. LC32P50e

Advantages: Good value, good number of connections,good picture, lighter than CRT. Good for gaming consoles.
Disadvantages: HD compatible only, No Digital TV tuner, Pedestal stand provided only, No Dolby Digital.

I managed to get an even better DVD image with sharper picture and better colours by using a component AV lead with my PS2 at 60hz, 580i scan. The component lead cost £17 and is a cheap alternative to buying a new DVD player. A HDMI DVD player will push this LCD to near HDTV picture quality but this will be downscaled to suit the screen resolution. Although it is not HD ready, it is compatible and this connection is needed if you plan to buy the latest xbox or PS3. Once you connect your DVD, Video, Game console the TV automatically recognises the signal and chooses which picture/sound setup you require. ...We bought this Television after buying a cheap model and returning it disappointed. The Sharp is widely available and we saw it in Argos, Curry\'s and Makro. 32\" is reckoned to be the best size when upgrading to Widescreen from a 4:3 28\". This TV was packaged very well and was easy to get out of the box - some are not. Included were all the usual bits and pieces Plus an extra mains connector for 2-pin alongside the UK 3-pin. The mains lead is removeable from the TV end - it is a Fig. 8 connector. Apart from the mains connector, all the other sockets are under a removeable cover at the rear left of the TV.
