...) input which gives GREAT quality from my HD dvd player. the picture quality for normal terrestrial tv is above par, as to be expected from sharp, and picture from scart devices is also better than you get with other brands. i am also using the HDMI input to use the TV as a pc moitor through the DVI port on my mac...the picture quality is awful, if you have a mac do not buy this as a pc monitor ! if you have a windows pc with a HD compliant grpahics card then go for it ! the DVI output from a computer is not a proper High Definition output, so the quality will be ok, but average sized and small fonts are blurrey and you can sometimes get fuzzyness on the edges of the opicture., as a bit of advice, if you want a pc monitor, just buy a big pc monitor, but if you want a great television, get this. the sound quality is good, obviously...

Samsung PS50B451

Advantages: Brillaint TV
Disadvantages: Hard to get used to

...One of the TVs in my house has just been replaced, we was lucky enough to get a deal on the Samsung PS50b451 instead of it costing around the £700 asking price a friend of ours used her staff discount and along with some vouchers, the TV cost us around £350 which is brilliant for what it is. bit of a bargain actually. I thought I would review it to see if it is actually worth the £700 asking price to those who aren?t as lucky as us to have a friend who works in a shop that sells them. Why choose this one? Sharp Aquos LCD TV. LC32P50e

Advantages: Good value, good number of connections,good picture, lighter than CRT. Good for gaming consoles.
Disadvantages: HD compatible only, No Digital TV tuner, Pedestal stand provided only, No Dolby Digital.

...I had a similar shopping experience as wrenny. She forgot to mention that Richer Sounds also provide 5 year warranty at 10% cost of this product. I found this a good replacement for my old standard sony CRT TV. It was far lighter than my old heavier CRT and was a doddle to get it out of the box and set up. The on screen pull down Menu's were similar set up to ms windows, and all text is readable within the confines of an average living room ( 5 x4 m) The picture from NORMAL BROADCAST TV is EXCELLENT( What Hi-Fi? recommended) even from my standard roof top aerial, which isn't even boosted. You may see this TV in Curry's etc. but with a sky signal. I advise you to get the shop to connect a DVD player to it for a better idea of its real potential. I have a normal Eltax DVD player and it plays at 50hz, 480i scan, with a good scart...

The Canon EOS 50D superb image quality.

Advantages: Superb image quality, well built, High resolution, low noise, Excellent spec.

Razor Sharp

The Samsung PL50 - perfect choice for a simple point and shoot

Advantages: Great picture quality for the price, good looks, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Features you wouldn't want to use/which make pictures worse if anything.

...between the photo and the colourful poster I photographed. Similarly some pics of people were very sharp and very good indeed. Granted, they were good - but not exceptional. However, it's a budget camera - if anyone wants to get a better camera - they get a Canon, and pay possibly double the cost, but the quality is ramped up. This however, I'm almost surprised to say, the quality isn't far off a compact cheaper Canon. Compared to the other camera for the same price - a Kodak, this was evidently and immediately superior. The minus sides - well there are as has already been said by another reviewer, some quite silly "useless" features. Hey - you can take good pictures on auto mode - why on earth include these other sometimes ropey features! Another minus side, if you zoom into a picture you've taken, for a 10mp camera, it's surprisingly soon...

...I am sitting here in the library typing out a review on one of my latest acquisitions, namely a notebook. Not just any notebook, but the Sharp's Actius MM10 or in the UK, it might be the MM100. I bought this little baby while in the US about a year ago and it has accompanied me since then on all the trips I've taken. It is safe to say that so far, this machine has managed to accomplished all that I needed it to do, well almost all but a little bit of that later.
