Sharp Aquos LC46

Advantages: Cheap, simple to use and good picture
Disadvantages: Basic in features, better picture on more expensive sets, poor EPG

...As we allready own a Sharp Aquos LC 32 (analogue) we decided to upgrade to a 46" Digital model. The TV is simple to instal and tune and the menu easy to follow. The backlight feature is not so good as it is set on maximum as a factory standard. We could have done with a bit more backlight as the picture can appear dark at times. The Electronic Program Guide is not the best in the world but suffient for use. It takes forever to browse through the week ahead as you have to move one program at a time. Most EPGs allow you to skip days. To obtain the best results, you have to adjust all of the colours and tints to your own standards but this is easy to do and the menu is user friendly. Disadvantages: EPG Could be Better.

...Have now owned this model for over 6 months, my previous TV was also a Sharp that didn't let me down on picture quality but did have other issues. The X20 is a vast improvement on earlier models, it looks fabulous with its thin gloss black frame and partially hidden speakers, (don't be fooled by this as the sound is one of the best I've heard on an LCD and although there is no Virtual Dolby, the SRS feature does a great job of filling the room with sound), the bass is very good and the treble is clear with enough volume for most users. This TV is fully loaded with lots of inputs inc. 3 HDMI's 2 scarts, and component (my preferred method as I don't like up-scaling HDMI devices and do not own Blu-Ray yet), as Sharp has more LCD knowledge than most other companies and although this is not one of their flagship models, it does not...

...This 46" Sharp Aquos LCD TV is packed full of features and has specifications to rival any of its competitors. It is Full HD 1020p which means you get the best picture quality available on the market. 1020p picture quality does vary across manufacturers so don't think that just because it has this then it will be as good as another make with the same specification. However this Sharp TV has a very clear and crisp picture quality with a dynamic contrast ratio of 10000:1 and 4ms response time. In my experience the picture quality is as good as its Sony and Panasonic equivalents. The price of this is average and i would suggest shopping around to find the best price. Advantages: Good Design, Lots Of Inputs, HDMI Input, Good Quality
Disadvantages: No Pc Input

...) input which gives GREAT quality from my HD dvd player. the picture quality for normal terrestrial tv is above par, as to be expected from sharp, and picture from scart devices is also better than you get with other brands. i am also using the HDMI input to use the TV as a pc moitor through the DVI port on my mac...the picture quality is awful, if you have a mac do not buy this as a pc monitor ! if you have a windows pc with a HD compliant grpahics card then go for it ! the DVI output from a computer is not a proper High Definition output, so the quality will be ok, but average sized and small fonts are blurrey and you can sometimes get fuzzyness on the edges of the opicture., as a bit of advice, if you want a pc monitor, just buy a big pc monitor, but if you want a great television, get this. the sound quality is good, obviously...

Advantages: BRIGHT PICTIRE AND MULTIPLE FUNCTIONS.
Disadvantages: NOT AFFORDABLE TO EVERY BODY DO TO ITS COST.

.... I saw the sharp Lc-46 Xd1e in an advertisement that tripped me and I started saving money towards buying because it is costly. The 46-inch LCD TV has a lot of fantastic features that I cant actually list all the features. Sharp TV

Advantages: Great Value Easy to set up

...I opted for this TV instead of the latest Samsung due to previously having a Sharp and the excellent value of it. Not disappointed at all! The specs were almost the same and the Sharp television is over £100 cheaper. Well worth it, picture quality is fantastic and is very easy to set up. The great thing about the set is the amount of inputs there are on the back of it. 3x HDMI, component, scart etc plenty of inputs for everything you will have. The only niggle i is that the built in Freeview is quite slow to respond to commands and doesn't have a page up/down option on the EPG. Nor does it have a small preview screen small price to pay i guess!...

LC26GA6E good LCD TV

Advantages: Easy to set up and use, lots of connections
Disadvantages: price a bit high, stand a bit bulky

...This TV is a 'real' HD ready TV with Screen resolution of 1366 x 768. Not like the other LC P55E or P70E models of similar price which were previously advertised as 'HD ready' but in fact they are not. They are EDTV i.e. screen resolution can go up to 900 x 540, not really high defintion. Strangly enough, the sharp UK website did not have the specfication of LC26GA6E but the others mentioned above. You can hang this TV on the wall without professional help as it is not heavy. Or, you can use its own (quite strong) table-top stand although it seems a bit bulky to me. I like the design of the speakers all at the bottom so that the screen is almost the same width as the set i.e. full use of the width. For those that have side speakers, they looked bulky. The speakers are 2 X 10W, better than most of the others for normal use...
