The idea of Frankenstein seems to show how man can go too far in his exploration of what constitutes 'life'.Frankenstein' raises the never-ending question of how far is too far in relation to medicine. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. Whether you are seeking 8-hole or 16-hole, steel toe-capped in purple or pink, you will be greeted with a great selection. The prices can be slightly pricey, but are certainly not as over-the-top as some of their designs! I think it is a fun, funky store selling an exciting and wacky selection of footwear. Advantages: morally ambiguous characters, relevant and accessible ideas

...Few who pick up this book will be unfamiliar with the back story: as a young girl, Mary Shelley created this gothic tale after experiencing a vivid dream and writing the opening as part of a ghost story competition between literary friends. We know this because the writer felt compelled to add a preface explaining how such a young girl was able to create such a horrible tale. So, when I finally settled down to read this famous story, I was expecting a fairly gruesome and horrific story ? especially after glimpsing parts of various film adaptations. Robert Duvall at His Best

Advantages: Easy to follow and great acting
Disadvantages: gun fight could have been more realistic

...This movie reminded me off the old fashioned westerns of yesteryear. It starts off with 4 cowboys driving their herd to market and the troubles that they encounter on route. Robert Duvall plays Boss with Kevin Costner playing Charlie his sidekick. The trouble starts when Mose (one of the group) calls into a town for supplies and doesn't return. The town is run by a currupt Sherrif who is controlled by an evil rancher played by Michael Gambon, who detests free grazers and they beat up Mose and throw him in jail. Boss and Charlie go in search of him and have him released but are warned by Gambon to move their cattle off the land.
