...***Location*** For those spending a few days in downtown Toronto, there is certainly no better location than this hotel. It is right in the heart of the city, in walking distance from everything a tourist may want to do: The Eaton Centre, Queen Street West, Yonge Street, CN Tower. ***Arrival*** Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly front desk person who was well aware that we had booked this hotel at a bargain price via Priceline. Nonetheless, he treated us with as much courtesy as he would have treated a full-paying customer and even upgraded us to one of their special rooms for Starwood Preferred Guests. We also were able to choose whether we wanted to stay on a high floor or a low floor, so we opted for a higher floor. The elevators are simply brilliant - they take you up to your room in no time. ...This review is about my time in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, I spent just under two weeks in this province, and so I thought I would share my travel experience with everyone. Love the Sheraton Centre!

Advantages: Location, Room, Staff, Price!
Disadvantages: Car Parking

...My partner and I have been to Toronto twice now, both within the last 24 months. Both times, we have booked up through Canadian Affair and got the fantastic price of £28 a night per person! (Must book flights with them to do this, but apparantly there's another website - priceline where you can book the rooms w/o the flights for reasonable prices.) Obviously, we loved the Sheraton the first time round otherwise we would not have returned! The rooms are spacious and have the comfiest beds known to mankind :-) The room service was thorough and efficient daily. Staff at reception were polite and efficent, and the staff at the Toronto Tours desk were fantastic. We organised numerous outings with them the first time and, although we weren't going on any tours this time round, we asked them for advice on resaurants etc. which they gladly...

The hotel that takes up a whole block

...I suppose no matter which way you look at it, 1400 bedrooms is a lot! This is what we were faced with when we arrived at our final hotel when we visited Canada recently. We had stayed in a small hotel in Niagara, a medium sized one in Hamilton, and now a huge one in Toronto. Booking through Canadian Affair seems to be a common occurrence, but this is no surprise, as they can get your good deals. We booked in at the same time as a couple of our friends were getting a room without having prebooked. Ours costed around £80 for the night, while theirs ended up costing about £130, and that was after they haggled and downgraded to a limited room. Up on Toronto's roof

...Our recent trip to Canada started and ended in Toronto, and with just over a day to kill before the flight brought us back to good old Blighty, there were a couple of things we really wanted to do. One of these was to travel up to the top of what was once the world's tallest free standing structure, the CN Tower. To be honest, the Tower, which sits a few blocks away from the shoreline of Lake Ontario, is not the most accessible place if you approach it from the north. You arrive with too many stairs and bridges to negotiate, and if you don't enter the building at the right point, you can get lost. However, once you do get inside, it's quite simple. You join the queue to buy the tickets, and go to the top of the tower. The queue was huge, but as there are limited ticket tariffs, it went down quite quickly. There are a few options...

...Hilton Toronto Having recently returned from a great stay at the Hilton and Toronto thought that it was about time that I attempted to put pen to paper again on Ciao as been absent for quite a while! I opted for this hotel because I found a great deal of around £500 for 2 people for 7 nights at the beginning of September 2006. The room: The room was located on the 16th floor as was spacious with two comfortable double beds and nice, fresh linen. In addition there was a wardrobe that whilst note huge was provided adequate storage as well as the ever useful iron and ironing board. A large TV provided ample international TV and good 'pay per' movies; the usual Hollywood Blockbuster stuff. There was a well stocked mini bar at reasonable prices and a nice coffee machine with a good range of complimentary hot drinks...

Sharing my experience of the Sheraton Roma

Advantages: Comfortable hotel - handy for the metro

We had booked a hotel a little to the south of Rome for a few nights as we wanted to visit places outwith the city but changed our plans for the Saturday night and tried to book a hotel in Rome itself. Not an easy task (at least not on my budget). Oh sure, you can stay in a pit close to Termini station, but not being suicidal, or wishing to part company with my belongings, and always leaving myself the option of swinging a cat should the chance arise, I'm afraid that's not for me. Super Stay at Sea Shore Sheraton

...a central, convenient location - that said, we still had a budget that we needed to stick to if we wanted to be able to afford such trifles as food when we got there. Our choice, after a good deal of consideration, was the Sheraton Waikiki. Why? Well, the information we had showed it to be a "superior 4 star" hotel (which ticked the "good enough for honeymoon" box) positioned in the heart of Waikiki between the main avenue and the ocean (putting it in an excellent location), and it was within our budget (so we could still afford to eat). Better still, I had stayed in a Sheraton hotel previously and found it to be a very positive experience and the generally good reviews we found on a selection of websites confirmed that this seemed a good choice. I expected better

...I am Canadian. As such, I go back annually to visit my family. At the same time, my partner and I try to have some holiday time away from my family as well and generally spend a few days in Toronto as that is where we fly into. We aren't loaded, but as we save money on accomodation when staying with my parents, we always try to treat ourselves to a nice hotel somewhere for one or two nights. Last October I managed to get a fabulour deal through CanadianAffair.com for two nights at the Sheraton Centre on Queen Street in Toronto. As I had booked our flights and car hire through Canadian Affair I got a great rate of £28 per person per night with no charge for our son who was 18 months at the time. ***This price was not relective of Sheraton Hotel prices!*** Unfortunately, the wonderful deal turned out to not be so great afterall...
