...just found it in the store cupboard and then spent a good 30 minutes putting it together, it didn't help that one of the pins had fallen out so it was very fiddly to do but we managed it! The villa came with everything you could need including a DVD player and a CD player. The seating area was just about big enough for 6 which was fine for us as there were just 5 of us but i imagine if there were 6 of you you may use the dining room chairs too unless you all want to sit very squashed together! The shower water would run cold if someone used the water elsewhere whilst you were in it which was very irritating but aside from that I can't thikn of any other negatives! To look at they look quite unattractive- they are just cabin-like huts in the forest but they are very cleverly designed. They are all attached but at an angle so that...

  Robin Hood in Sherwood Forest?

Advantages: Relaxed Environment, Plenty to do, Fab Accommodation
Disadvantages: Costly to eat out.

...As some of you may recall I recently was awarded a diamond for my review on Center Parcs the Oasis Whinfell Forest back in September so I decided that when I went back last week that I would write up a review of my next visit?. Sherwood Forest. Last time I just went for the weekend which was the Friday to the Monday as cars are only permitted on both of these days. Advertised in Oasis was a Welcome Back Discount for up to 25% if you booked another trip within 28 days of returning. Centre Parcs: SHERWOOD FOREST: An Honest Review

Advantages: Location; Wildlife; Accomodation; Range of activities; Shops
Disadvantages: Quite expensive; accomodation could be a fair distance from main areas!

...I have been to Centre Parcs (SHERWOOD) a few times, and thought I'd share my experiences with this review. The last time I visited Centre Parcs was with my partner in February of this year - the only time I have ever been during the Winter months, but as it is both of our birthday's around January/February time, my partner took me as a birthday treat, and I have to say it was probably the best birthday present ever. We stayed in an 'Executive Lodge', which was a two-storey house, and were there from Friday morning - Monday afternoon. ARRIVAL When you arrive at Centre Parcs in Sherwood Forest, you are told you will not be able to enter your accomodation until around 3pm. Much More Than Just The Major Oak!

Advantages: Plenty to see and do
Disadvantages: Can get quite crowded at busy times

I live in Sheffield which is ideally located between the hilly, rocky Peak District National Park to the West and the contrasting flat, wooded area of Sherwood Forest to the East. Sherwood Forest covers a vast area, which occupies approximately one third of the County of Nottinghamshire. This is an area characterised by its patchwork of Woodland interspersed with ancient heath lands, which are scattered with settlements and farms, many of these have survived the ages and even today remain largely unchanged. Magical forests

Advantages: idyllic, beautiful......plenty of woodland!!!
Disadvantages: quiet for those party people!!!

...The stunning forest of dean covers a vast area......as the name suggests it's plenty of ancient woodland with villages and towns dotted inbetween. In fact it covers over 100 square kilometers, and touches upon various counties such as herefordshie, gloucestershire and the borders of wales (the wye valley) Its about 25 mins west of Bristol. Sherwood Forest - the great outdoors

...Out of all the Centerparcs in England we decided on Sherwood Forest because (a) it was the closest and (b) the thought of staying in a forest was quite appealing. Me and my friends had already had a holiday at the beginning of the year in Sunny Rhodes and have booked our next years holiday but fancied a break to keep us going. We didnt really want a week abroad and decided that a few days in this country would be nice for a change. ...The Major Oak is the tree that legend says Robin Hood hid in. Although the story is good, the facts do not match as the tree is not old enough. However, it is a very old tree and well worth a visit. The tree is at Edwinstowe, just a five minute drive from Centre Parcs, in the heart of Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire. There is a very well laid out, clean visitors centre near to the tree, and from the visitors centre as well as the walk to the tree, there are a number of other very well marked walks through the forest of different lengths. Most of these walks are wheelchair friendly, and one particular walk has been set out for visually impaired people. Toddlers love Center Parcs (Sherwood Forest)

Advantages: peaceful, relaxing, good facilities and family friendly
Disadvantages: expensive, lots of walking/cycling, things book up fast

...).]] APARTMENT Our executive apartment was great - clean, jacuzzi bath, lovely patio etc etc. The facilities for self catering are great. Cot and highchair available (although in the one bed apartments you have to request them). The best part of having an executive is the fact that a maid will come and wash up for you - great when you've got young kids. Ducks, squirrels and rabbits came to the patio for nibbles - the ducks would peck on the window to get our attention! One negative to getting an apartment (rather than a villa) is the banging of doors at night - our apartment was right next to the main entrace of the apartment block so there was a LOT of banging. Looking out from our patio, all we could see was forest. The villas are well spaced out and you don't feel crowded. THE FACILITIES The park itself is great. Very spaced...
