Bad customer services spoiled this Shire Stork playhouse

Advantages: Pretty and feels safe
Disadvantages: Customer services so bad that you don't get the product you paid for

...This product looks very attractive (once it's built!) but I would not recommend purchasing from this company. Having ordered this children's playhouse which was far from cheap, I had numerous problems which I would not have expected with the money I spent. The parts in the initial delivery were significantly wrong (some were the wrong parts, others missing), then the replacement parts were still wrong and then the replacement replacements didn't arrive as promised. The 'Customer Services Manager' at Shire seemed to think her title gave her permission to be rude to customers and she clearly had no idea what is meant by 'service'. She fobbed me off to the internet based company I had bought the product through ('All Garden Fun'), who were initially more polite but in the long run no more helpful at resolving problems, and ultimately...

Playhouse Disney

Advantages: No adverts, good value for money, good shows, often movies
Disadvantages: When kids grow up, more Disney characters please!

...Playhouse Disney is like the Disney Channel, only for young children. Children up to 5 will enjoy most of the shows because some of them are "interactive,"e.g. (Person On Screen): Stand up. *You don't stand up* (Person On Screen): Good job standing up. Me: LOL!!!! So as you can see, it is more "interactive" then something like Bob The Builder. Lineup Mainly, these are the shows: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Handy Mandy My Friends Tigger And Pooh Imagination Movers Little Einsteins Higglytown Heroes JoJo's Circus Bear In The Big Blue House 64 Zoo Lane 5 Minutes More Franny's Feat Harry And His Bucket Full Of Dinosaurs Johnny And The Sprites (Often movies) Most of these shows you don't know are Disney! Mickey Mouse (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) and Pooh (My Friends Tigger and Pooh) are basically the only Disney characters...

The Playhouse

Advantages: A reasonable alternative to the Everyman with it's cheap alternative and trendy productions, but in no way as good. A good community atmosphere.
Disadvantages: Cramped and sometimes mis-leading. Not the place to take posh Auntie Bessy for an evening at the theatre - that's the Empire.

...This newly refurbished playhouse is along the lines of the Everyman with it's alternative, good value productions, but not as good. Slap bang in the middle of the city centre, the traditional Victorian playhouse is joined to the newly added glass part (with the box office, cafe and space for community activities) offers reasonable prices for a varity of semi-proffesional to amature plays and musicals to the people. I actually feel a little cramped when I'm sitting in the playhouse, and it does have a tendancy to get stuffy and warm. But after being abandoned and left to decay, you can't give it any grief to restoring it to it's former glory. The newly-added glass part also has room for community activities, including free dance lessons, story book reading and craft workshops. Some of these also come with a play, so kids can...

West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds

Advantages: bright and airy inside, very good view of stage from seats, good shows, friendly staff
Disadvantages: not right in the centre of town -across a very busy main road, lots of bushes for muggers to hide bahind at night , expensive bar

...We went to West Yorkshire Playhouse yesterday afternoon to see a matinee performance of Bad Girls, the Musical. We had a fantastic time. The play was absolutely first class- so if you get chance to go and you know anything at all about bad girls, you will be in heaven! I had ordered my tickets via an online ticket provider and they came within a couple of days-just what I had ordered and no fuss at all. We got two of the best seats in the house for 15 pounds each. The good thing about the WY playhouse is that the prices are very good for excellent productions, compared to London theatres, anyway! Location It's a bit tricky to get to, so you need your wits about you- see the directions to follow... If you are coming by car from the north (Harrogate, Wetherby, Middlesbrough -follow the signs for the A58) You need to follow...

Come And Join The Fun At Playhouse Disney

Advantages: Keeps children happy on rainy days with lots of fun things that they can join in with.
Disadvantages: Parents may find that they have to join in too.

...I have always been a big Disney fan, they've given us cartoons, they've given us films and now they've given us a wonderful channel for pre-school children. I say it's for pre-school children but it's pretty much all my eight year old daughter watches during the school holidays. Presented by Big Dave (a large black man who seems to enjoy dressing up as a fairy!!) and Little Alex (a woman who looks like she should be a kindergarten teacher) Playhouse Disney shows a selection of cartoons and fun activities for young children. Each programme lasts between about five and fifteen minutes so that they are not too long and therefore hold the childs interest. The presenters pop up in between each cartoon and are very bubbly and happy and spend most of the time singing and dancing which my children love. They also use this time to...

Peppa Pig Playhouse !

Advantages: Everything Apart From Top Floor Of House!
Disadvantages: Top Floor Not Wide Enough...Bed Falls To Ground Floor

...Peppa Pig Playhouse. I bought this for my daughter at christmas as she is a HUGE Peppa fan and at £14.99 you can't really complain. The House comes with: Carry Handle Bath Bunk Beds 2 Quilts Ladders For The Bed Stairs TV Armchair Settee Kitchen Table And 4 Chairs For The Table. Also included are obviously the characters: Peppa Pig her little brother George and mummy and daddy pig. This playhouse is great when your child wants to take it to friends houses or relatives as it just folds up into a carry case. The house is identical to the house on the show. The top floor of the house is not very wide and the bed with sleeping peppa and george can easily fall the the floor. Which my daughters finds rather funny. The ladders for the bunkbeds don't really stay on. The figures come with a plastic base glued onto...

Review of Character Options Peppa Pig Playhouse

Variety at The Playhouse.

Advantages: Really good prices
Disadvantages: On the edge of the shopping area.

..."The Playhouse" in Colchester is situated on St. John's Road near the junction with Head Street. As it's name suggests the building houses one of the town's two theatres. "The Mercury Theatre" is still putting on live performances and appears to thrive, "The Playhouse" which opened in 1929 was functioning as a cinema in the 1930's but by 1981 was being used as a bingo hall. Closed from 1984 it reopened in December1994 and thrives in it's new incarnation as a Wetherspoons bar and restaurant. Now I am not going to pretend that the "Spoons" brand offers out of the ordinary menus. We are in the realm of "all day breakfasts" and "name your filling" jacket potatoes here but the prices are something to write home about both for the food and for the drinks. For a reasonably priced lunch during a busy shopping trip "The Playhouse" is...

Playhouse disney

Advantages: Informative, fun, and keeps the Kids glued!!!
Disadvantages: Kids dont wanna turn it off

...Playhouse Disney is a kids channel on Sky television which is available Sky Digital aswell. Big Dave and Little Alex present a culmination of programs aimed at children from maybe the age group of 3 to 7ish I guess. My Daughter has learnt alot from watching Playhouse Disney which consists of Bear in the Big Blue House, Winnie the pooh, Art Play with Sara-Louise, Circle time, Stanley, Rolie Polie Olie to name just a few and in between these prgrammes you have Dave and Alex presenting whose partnership is ideally suited for the young audience. Dave Benson Phillips who has for a long time presented children's programmes is first class as is Alex who to be honest, I am not sure what else she has done on Television. My daughter has learnt several things from this programmes, from reading to writing, drawing and even to interaction...

Edinburgh Playhouse - The Pride of the City!

Advantages: Top Entertainment
Disadvantages: Booking Fee's

...I must thank those who have taken the time to comment with such a high regard for this theatre. Up until last year I was a proud member of The Playhouse management team where I helped the building achieve an "Investor in People" standard. We are all very proud of our committment to the highest level of customer service. The staff are a family of talented individuals who love their jobs and are happy to attend to every customers need. The performances you can expect range from modern day musicals to top music acts such as Girls Aloud and even The Rolling Stones!!! Visit the Live Nation website to learn more. The building is now 77 years old and was originally built as the largest cinema in Europe. It is a whopping 3000+ capacity based on the design of the Roxy Theatre in New York City! It remains the largest all seat venue in...

West Yorkshire Playhouse-Cybercafe

Advantages: Cheap and very friendly helpful staff
Disadvantages: None

...I've been going to the West Yorkshire Playhouse now for some time, not for the theatre but to use thier excellent CYBERCAFE and get training from MARK- the Cybercafe Manager and tutor. The Cybercafe is now widely talked about in Leeds (and beyond) as a place to surf safely and gain advice and help on any 'IT/Internet' subject . While there, I've seem people getting help with CV's, advice on which computers to buy, do courses and get full tutor support. Mark as built up link with many education groups including the BBC, Niace and although no longer a learndirect centre-the Cybercafe others over 800 courses. I can highly recommend this as a cybercafe, it may look a little old now (it's over 5 years old) but the service you get is second to none. Whether you work, are unemployed or an actor-everyone is treated with respect...
