...I spent hours and hours researching which shirt would be the best for long distance running. Having come to the realisation that a cotton T shirt is vile to run in once you start sweating. The majority of comments I read or heard were full of praise for this shirt and rightly so. Its wicking properties are fantastic and although it is a base layer I wear it on its own and find it keeps me warm enough at the moment (and I feel the cold), but with the colder weather approaching an additional top will be required. It does say it is for cooler to cold weather wear though. It removes moisture from the body very efficiently and is very comfortable to wear. Hell yeah - Give me the top

Advantages: Great price, dry and matching shorts available

...After the success with the Helly Hansen undershorts I had to try out a base layer jersey. I have tried dri-fit tops before, and whilst they have been good and locking away most of the moisture, I have never tried one which has kept my as dry as the Helly Hansen Lifa. Like the Lifa shorts, the top is made out of 100% polypropylene. As with the shorts tha top is skin tight and seamless to ensure that moisture is kept away from the skin and to ensure that there is zero chaffing. Just like the shorts - the lifa is designed to be a base layer and have another top or jersey put over the top. The advert states ideal for warm to cool days - I think that this top is for cool to cold days since it is very warm. The long sleeves ensure that the whole upper body is kept covered and benefits from the stay dry effect. Saying this though...

As soon as you see this shirt you will realise it is of very high quality, my only concern would be that because it is so light, it may be more prone to ripping if you were to take it off in a hurry or if you were to catch it on a branch or something similar. Tottenham Hotspur away shirt, so good they are giving it away

Advantages: Light, robust, its a Spurs shirt
Disadvantages: Will be out of date at the end of the season

As well as the yellow strips around the collar, both sleeves boast yellow trim, starting as a thin line on the front of the shirt and turning into an inch thick line on the back of the arm. The final piece of yellow trim starts from the hip region in the form of a triangle and continues all the way around the back of the shirt until it reaches the hip region on the other side. The front of the shirt in my opinion looks really superb. On the right hand breast you have the Puma logo whilst on the left hand breast you have the Tottenham badge. Both these symbols are sewn into the shirt meaning that no amount of washing will force them to fade or even peel off which I have experienced with earlier shirts.
