The Benefit of Shiseido
Advantages: An Unlikely Moisturizer
Disadvantages: Price
...This isn't really a lotion. It calls itself a lotion but it's more of a tonic. I am aware of my European and Chinese heritage and this particular mix to have for ones ethnicity has generally given me the problem of having a skin type that isn't easy to define.
The benefits of using this softening "lotion" by Shiseido proves to be in how it's my alternative to most of the Dove label products.
It has a very neutral scent and you'll find that you've soon emptied the bottle. It's best to transfer this product into a spray bottle and use it like you'd use the Evian atomizer. When sprayed generously unto your face, you instantly feel refreshed after you pat your face dry. And if it says that it softens your skin, it's because it really does. As a consumer, I buy Shiseido instead of Clarins....

Boots No7 Daily V Dual Action Eye Make-Up Remover
Advantages: Good bottle design.
Disadvantages: Doesn't remove waterproof mascara very effectively.
...You might have seen my recent review on another Boots branded eye make-up remover. I mentioned that when I received a free Boots voucher to spend, I couldn't decide between that remover and another one - Boots No7 Daily V Dual Action Eye Make-Up Remover. I opted for the other one, and although I was really pleased with it, when I received another free voucher to spend (I shop in Boots a lot!), I thought that I would give this one a try, so that I could compare the two eye make-up removers.
Boots No7 Daily V Dual Action Eye Make-Up Remover comes in a rectangular plastic bottle which is 13cm high and just over 4cm wide.
The lid is as wide as the bottle, and is made of white plastic. It has the No7 logo on it, on a gold plate. When you take off the lid, you can see that the neck of the bottle is 2cm wide, however a plastic insert in...

Shiseido Nail Lacquer
Advantages: Great finish - long lasting and great colour range!
Disadvantages: really expensive - if you have as many colours as i do!
...Shiseido is not a name I had heard of before but was recommended by my nail salon. You can't buy this from supermarkets and I havent seen this in boots but I get mine from a mail order application through my beauty salon. Each 15ml bottle costs me £4.25 which is a bit more than the Rimmel or Max factor or even superdrug own brands but what you pay for really is quality.
Speed of drying:
Not as fast as 60 seconds nail varnish from rimmel but thwe results really are worth the wait. Drying takes about 10 minutes which can seem like ages but if you can resist touching anything - i find TV usually helps for 10 -15 minutes the finish is even and not blotchy. If you want to test the driness of the polish I would do this only after ten minutes in order to avoid squashing and wrinkling of the varnish. If you try doing this before 10 mins you...

Shiseido Skincare Range
Advantages: The most flexible and moisturising line I know
Disadvantages: it may cost a lot if you really get into all the products
...I have been using Shiseido on and off for 6 years. In between, I have to say that I have tried other brands like H20 ( not readily available in the UK), Clinique, Estee Lauder, Origins and Chanel. Shiseido is the one brand that I constantly returned to and has now become the only solid staple in my skincare routine. To me, Shiseido is unique brand which really covers all the bases when it comes to skincare. I have never known another brand to have this degree of flexibility or a closer nderstanding of it's customer base.
Shiseido as a brand is probably a lot less well established in the UK than it is in Asia; it costs a litte more ( not by that much ) and is only available from a few large department stores. I'm sure they have their reasons but I would say mainly that it can be put down to the fact that the skincare market is...

Shiseido Curl Mascara
Advantages: does not clog your lashes
Disadvantages: none
...- - - - - - - - Luscious lashes - - - - - - - - - -
For years I have struggled to find a mascara that I can rely on, as
I have very small eyelashes and have always found it a problem
to make them stand out and recieve that wow factor without
making them look completely clogged and stuck with mascara
which is not very attractive look and believe me NO-ONE can pull
it off! it looks way to worked and can convey to people (Look at
me!) Which I have experienced a while back into my youth still
mortified thinking about it hee-hee I was a make-up worshiper!
which made me look like a drag queen with the amount I used
to pile on as a young girl experimenting!.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
As haven tried and tested just about every mascara under the
sun I still...

Beautifully Balanced and Beautifully Soft.
Advantages: Skin feels nice and soft, removes excess oil.
Disadvantages: For a gel it's a bit too thick for me and I always have to use a toner afterwards.
...!
No7 also has a wide range of make-up including foundation, mascara, powder, eyeshadow, nail polish, eye liner, concealer, blusher... they do just about everything.
The Product
I bought this cleanser in Boots when they were doing one of their many £5 vouchers. Basically you got a voucher from the till when you spent at least £5 in Boots, this voucher entitled you to £5 off No7 or Ruby & Millie. You can tell when this voucher is running as the No7 counter is usually very busy!
I had recently ran out of my cleanser so I decided to give this one a go. It costs £7.30 so with my voucher I only paid £2.30.
No7 Beautifully Balanced cleanser is aimed at Oily/Combination skins. It comes in a large plastic bottle with a pump hidden underneath the lid. No7 do other cleansers aimed at other skin types and are different colours...

Two thumbs up for Shiseido
Advantages: Goes on quite sheer, doesn't look cakey, nice colour
Disadvantages: Price
...I love this foundation.
I am naturally very pale with oily skin, so I used to have real trouble finding a foundation that kept my skin somewhat matte and came in a shade close enough to my skin tone. No high-street brands ever had a shade pale enough for me (and their quality was debatable anyway) and even MAC didn't have a true match - their pale shades were too beige for me.
Lucky for me, I came across a lady who recommended Shiseido foundation. Willing to give it a go, I went and found it in Selfridges one Saturday. I bought shade #100 - can't remember the name - because I think it was the first foundation shade I'd tried and it had actually been a good match.
I've been wearing it ever since, and it tends to stay on quite well, too - I wear it from 7am every day and while it doesn't stay looking perfectly applied all day, I...

The Perfect Balance

Disadvantages: Packaging and Price
...too much from!
~ Shades ~
There are 4 shades available:
* Alabaster

I plumped for the honey shade which suits my skin tone in the summer but would be quite noticeable on my 'winter' skin tone.

Got Dark Circles...Get Shiseido Concealer!!
Advantages: Very easy to use, good results, lasts ages and so many shades to choose from.
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest on the market, packaging doesnt last very long.
...I have the WORST dark circles, i look like ive had five rounds with Tyson...and lost! Ever since i turned 15 ive been through so many concealers, most of them making me look many different shades of grey, apart from shiseidos concealer for the under eye.
I first came across it at Harvey Nicholls. I tried it on and i was amazed. I have asian toned skin so finding a concealer that doesnt make my skin look like patches of pink and grey is a challenge, but this concealer had so many shades to choose from and actually matched my skin colour!! Yaaaaaayy! So i thought id go for it, yep go for it at around 20 quid for a small lil tube. So the price is not exactly friendly but the results justify the price, really it does!!
I went home and tried it the next day before i went out. All of a sudden i had been transformed from a patchy panda...
