Enchanting Switzerland

Advantages: A haven of scenic beauty
Disadvantages: nothing worth mentioning though language can be problem for english speaking tourists.

So we had to drag it with us all the way up and down the stairs.While coming back to the platform we found out that the place where people were depositing their belongings for a ride in boat was very near to platform. Advice: If you have luggage with you then go down to the left from platform,its hardly 50 meters.The person who takes care for the luggage charges 1 frank per suitcase. Take a step off the tourist trail in Switzerland

Advantages: Beautiful medieval city, relatively cheap, lots to do, excellent transport links
Disadvantages: none

...and plain chocolates. It is open every weekday. ***Eating Out*** Switzerland is a nation of smokers and people smoke everywhere, but especially in bars and restaurants. There is only one completely smoke free restaurant in Fribourg and it is part of a shopping centre outside of town. You can pick up the number 2 bus from the station and get off at the Belle-Croix stop and enter the shopping centre opposite. Manora is open everyday until late and is an acceptable self service restaurant, vastly superior in quality to its UK counterparts. As I have a young daughter this is the only place we tend to eat out, because the levels of smoke can be quite intolerable in other places The town itself is full of little cafes with seating outside, all of which serve food and drinks which are cheap and edible. Supreme Switzerland!

Advantages: stunning

...Switzerland is the ultimate holiday destination in Europe for those who want to see stunning scenery, wildlife and experience a unique culture. Switzerland is a great place for visitors for many reasons. For me, the ultra-efficient transport system allows accessibility to anywhere in the country. Transfers to resort are by train rather than coach as the system is so reliable and efficient. Zurich and Geneva both have train stations in there airports and English speaking assistance is always available. I've visited Switzerland on three separate occassions - Lake Maggiore/Zermatt, Interlaken and Saas Fee. I've also visited a number of places in each region, made accessible by the trains. Switzerland - my former home

Advantages: Beautiful country
Disadvantages: Quite expensive and very cold in winter

...either in Lucarno or Luino. Luino is bigger, but already belongs to Italy, so do not forget to bring your Passport with you. Lucarno is smaller, but offers about the same choices as Luino. You can buy food (delicious), animals (poor things), clothes and art. The market in Luino is directly opposite a Lake ? stunning! It is best to get there by car. If you want to go shopping Zürich or Luzern are a good tip. Two big cities in Switzerland (Big in Switzerland, so you probably think they are rather small). Winter: Hmmm...what would I do in Switzerland in Winter? Go Skiing is of course the answer! If you do not want to go to the dear, famous districts, check out the smaller ones like Valbella or Engelberg. They are much cheaper and often as good as the big ones. ...Advantages: Loads of stuff available, good prices Disadvantages: can get busy at christmas time so much so people abandon their shopping I am a huge Asda fan, it's where I do most of my shopping and I know where everything is which makes it easier when dragging 3 kiddies along with you! In my local Asda we have a photo centre, cafe, George, electricals, homewear, toys, bakery, pizzaria, rottisary (chicken place lol), fresh meats counter and all the usual foody aisles plus we have a petrol station, cash machines and bus stop. It's the largest shopping store we have although we do have a Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Co-Op, Farm Foods and Iceland. I have never had a bad experience with Asda and the stock is usually replenished quite quickly! They have such a huge range that I know I can do my weekly shop and more there. Everything...
