Inspiring Capital,Inspiring Shopping Centre?

Advantages: Very Clean, Easy to get around, Lots of Space
Disadvantages: Too few shops,not on two levels,not that easy to get to

...The Gyle Shopping Centre in Edinburgh which opened in October 1993 is one of 4 main shopping centres in Edinburgh. The others are Cameron Toll, St James Centre, Waverley Market(Princes Mall) and Ocean Terminal. There is also Westside Plaza but this isn't exactly what you call a main shopping centre and Straiton park,Craigleith(The Quarry) and Fort Kinnaird are all Retail parks. The Gyle is a approx a 10 minute drive from Edinburgh International Airport by car/taxi. It is approx a 30 minute drive from the City Centre depending on the time of day and the route you take to get there as it is often very congested nearby due to it being directly opposite Edinburgh Park(Home to the RBOS headquarters and a whole host of big companies) .The area round the Gyle is mostly businesses and there is are many houses nearby within walking distance...

It is only a ten inute walk from the train station and a fifteen minute walk from the main bus station. It is about a five minute walk from Dover Town Centre market square. De Bradelei Wharf This shopping outlet is built in the historic Wellington Dock area of the town which is just behind the sea front with ample pay and display parking. If you buy something in store, the cost of your parking will be refunded. The cost of the pay and display is £2.50. There are plenty of disabled parking bays too. Jonahthan (the tall guy with long hair) is always very helpful and does his best to find the most suitable bike for you and your wallet. Paid £1000 for 50cc 2stroke the bike which was the same price that i could have got a 100cc 4 stroke honda for, at webbs, which is just a few doors away but it sold just before i went to buy it. Anyway, they have a selection of bikes from 50cc to 1000cc and from £1000 to £10000+ The one stop shop will sort out your Gloves, Helmet, Jacket, Bike, Insurance & anything else you need to get on the road. If you are looking for a first or second bike or need a small bike (50 - 125cc) for town running then this really is the ultimate shop to go to. ...'s history. Steep Hill is a must see for people visiting the area. Up the extremely Steep Hill is Lincoln's olde worlde little centre. It has lovely gift shops and tea rooms and chocolate shops in the very old houses that line the cobbled streets. There is also the cathedral and castle either side of Steep Hill which are great places to go. If you go to the top of the castle and look out over Lincoln the view is amazing, I recommend trying that. The modern area of Lincoln includes general shops that you see in most cities but again a lot of them are in old buildings and the precinct is pedestrianised and wide so it really gives that open feel that lincoln seems to have. ...The Victoria Centre in Nottingham has the better shops than the Broadmarsh (its rival just down the road). It is however only a small part of the nottingham shopping experience. There is a wide range of well known shops in the Victoria Centre and a small indoor market selling meat, fish and other goods. It is a shame that smaller, independant shops have moved out to make way for the bigger fish. The Victoria Centre has 120 shops and stores, including John Lewis and House of Fraser. There is also a wide selection of cafes and restaurants. The Victoria Centre typically attracts over 450,000 visitors a week, and can get very busy on a saturday. ...Lincoln Castle is situated in the Cathedral Quarter of Lincoln atop Steep Hill which leads into central Lincoln and beyond. Originally a Roman settlement it was acquired by William the Conqueror (who commissioned the building of the nearby Cathedral) due to its strategic importance in Lindum (now known as Lincoln) an important market town. It is not particularly easy to get to, in that if you are visiting Lincoln town centre, you have limited options to get there. You have a 20 minute walk up a VERY Steep Hill (do not underestimate it's name "Steep Hill") and down again, or a drive to find a space in limited local car parks or waiting for the free shuttle bus, where disabled visitors tend to take priority. ...Living in West London, we waited we baited breath for the opening of this grand centre for retail therapy and mostly, I have not been disappointed. I first went a week after it opened and was overwhelmed by how busy it was (this was end of November so Xmas shopping had already begun) and thought I would never return. 8 months later, I did, and I'm thankful that I did. The location is ideal. It is situated within a few minutes walk from both Shepherds Bush and White City underground and the new overground station. I visited Lincoln Cathedral at the beginning of December 2007. My main reason for visiting Lincoln was for the Christmas Market but since both the Castle and the Cathedral are all very close to one another it is actually possible to visit all three attractions at the same time.
