...I can't believe no one else has written a review on Freeport!! Well I will be the first! Freeport is in Braintree just off the A120, near loads of Fast food restaurants and shops like Comet. I think it is great, it opened about 2 years ago, and not all the shops were being used. But they are now and it is still expanding and I think it will end up being huge!! Braintree?s main attraction, unless you can think of any others?! At the moment it is set out in a huge circleish type shape and there is also an aisle down the middle, but I think this may change soon as there will be some more shops as building work is being done. Some of the shops offer student discount don't forget your card!! Freeport has its own Station to; trains run regularly and are reliable!! It has a wide range of shops, mainly designer labels...

Designer Shopping all in one village?

Clarks Village - My favourite place to shop

Advantages: Lots of cheap designer shops
Disadvantages: Parking & runs out of popular sizes quick

...When I was a kid me and my mum headed to Clarks Village in Street Somerset a few times and back then Clarks Village was not that big and didn't have very many good shops but recently a friend mentioned that he went and recommended that we take a look, so one Saturday we took a trip there and was amazed at what we saw. I would say that it had at least tripled in size since I was last there and the quality of the shops was also a massive improvement. There are many more designer shops now and they all sell clothes, shoes, tools, furniture and more at knockdown prices, if your looking for a bargain then its def a place to consider visiting. There are about 90 shops to look around and consists of shops like Addidas, Bench, Billabong, Calvin Klein, Fat Face, Henri Lloyd, Next Clearance, Timberland and the list goes on. Shop Till You Drop

...Freeport Shopping Village was opened on the outskirts of Braintree just under six years ago, at which time it came as something of a revolution to this sleepy but fast growing market town, whose town centre consisted largely of estate agents, umpteen charity shops and a couple of 'department' stores which made Grace Brothers seem like Harrods. Lakeside Village Outlet Shopping

...I first visited this shopping Outlet some 5 years ago when it was more commonly known as 'The Yorkshire Outlet'. ...Last week I came across one of those special offers in HMV (4 DVds for £20). It was end of the season sale and I picked up a film called "The Village" just to make up the numbers. It struck me as being some sort of clichéd horror film from the blurb on the cover and I didn't expect to be watching it in the very near future. Hassle free shopping!

...I visited Freeport Shopping Village in Braintree for the first time recently. Before I arrived I thought the outlet would be undercover like other shopping centres. The fact that it isn't meant we got a bit cold in the gusty winds! Parking is free, which is great when you are used to high prices for town centre parking. There are around 80 shops there, and I will mention some of the ones we visited. There was a large Next store with big discounts. I will warn you that there were no chairs to try shoes on, and no changing rooms. I found this very strange, and we live too far away to try things on when we got home and bring them back if they don't fit. There is a Marks and Spencers which is small. The Per Una range is included in their stock, but I wasn't impressed with anything inside, I thought I had gone back in time! We...
