...Hugo Boss ~ Energise ~ Shower Gel I bought my husband a Hugo Boss Energise gift set for his Christmas, he has a few Hugo Boss fragrances and he likes the smell of them as do I. Inside the gift set there was a bottle of Energise Eau De Toilette, a tube of shower gel and shaving balm. The gift set wasn't that expensive and only cost me £30 for all three items; when I'm buying perfumes I tend to always buy gift sets because they are better value for money. The Hugo Boss Energise shower gel can also be bought on its own from most department stores if you don't want to buy a gift set. A very average Lush shower gel

Advantages: smells OK, lathers well, gets skin clean
Disadvantages: nothing special about it, a little pricier than others

I noticed that a lot of my Lush shower gels are approaching their use-by dates, and as such have been using them regularly over the past few weeks to make sure I use them up on time! Having got to the end of all of the others, I was left with half a bottle of The Olive Branch. When it came to picking a shower gel, nine times out of ten The Olive Branch would be near the bottom of the list. ...Joop! Homme ~ Shower Gel Some time ago my husband got a Joop! Homme gift set for Christmas; he really likes all of the Joop fragrances, but Joop! Homme is his all time favourite. The Joop! Homme gift set which he received consisted of a bottle of Joop! Homme eau de toilette, a tube of shower gel and a tube of shaving balm. Review of Joop! Homme Shower Gel

PERCEIVE SHOWER GEL

Advantages: nice scent
Disadvantages: dearer than Avon's usual range

...I seem to be on a roll here with shower gel reviews, so here is another one. I do not spend all my time in the shower, I just like to try different products and then go back to my favourites to use! Avon sell a huge range of beauty products. Perceive is one of their better ranges, ie , it can cost a tiny bit more, but not much. Avon describe the smell of Perceive as "woody, floral". I would have to agree with them. It is a little earthier than my favourite Avon product Celebre. It is also a summer smell, i would not use this shower gel in winter as i think it is a summer scent, light and airy. It comes in a 150ml tube which can be annoying as I am used to shower gels with flip lids, not screw lids. You want a flip lid in the shower for ease of use. The 150ml tube costs £3.00 which is dearer as their shower gels...

...For Christmas my sister got me a set of Nina by Nina Ricci products, including the perfume, shower gel and body lotion. I absolutely adore the scent of the perfume and have been wearing it regularly, but due to my mountain of bath products, it's only been in the last few weeks that I have had the chance to try out the matching shower gel. Nina, if you're not familiar, is a perfume by Nina Ricci, which comes in a red, apple-shaped bottle. It's an incredibly sweet and feminine scent, and I was really looking forward to trying out the matching shower gel. The shower gel comes in a white tube, which has a picture of a red apple, with shiny silver leaves, just like the perfume bottle itself. There's not a lot of information on the tube, but I wonder if that's because mine was received as part of a gift set, rather than bought...

Good shower gel but not too keen on the smell!

...When doing my Tesco shopping the other week I was keeping my eyes open for special offers so that I could buy some stocking fillers to complete my Christmas presents. My sister and brother in law both wanted lots of shower gel so I was pleased to see the Imperial Leather range priced at 4 shower gels for £3. One of the ones that I bought was the Imperial Leather Wake Up Invigorating Shower Gel with Bitter Lemon and Ginger and this was the one that I decided to keep for myself. The package is slightly unusual when compared to other shower gels. It doesn?t have a hook to hang it up in the shower but the unusual thing is the shape of the container. It is kind of wiggly! ...I really like the Ghost Bath and Shower Gel. I got given this as a present, because when it comes to shower gel I usually buy the reasonably cheap stuff so it is quite nice to have an expensive one to try and use! I had the Ghost perfume so it was lovely to get the bath and shower gel to match it. The smell of this is absolutely lovely. It is not a heavy smell but quite light with the smells of jasmine, hibiscus, rose petals, spicy sandalwood, vanilla, musk, frankincense, apricots and ambergris (sounds like lots and lots of different smells but they really go well together!) The size of the tube is 200ml. I haven't actually seen this product in the 200ml size that I have in any shops. Lacoste Inspiration is quite a light fresh and airy smelling perfume and some people may find that the scent of the perfume doesn't last long on their skin, especially if they have dry or oily skin types.
