Shuffle and Shimmy

Advantages: Portable, lightweight, holds 200 - 300 songs, well designed
Disadvantages: Will not hold your entire music collection, poor quality earphones

...The phrase 'never look a gift horse in the mouth' is one that I've always found strange. Maybe I've been mixing with particularly stingy examples of the equine race, but not one of the hooved hallions has ever brought me anything. Indeed, when I was a child there was a man round the corner who bred and trained show jumping horses and whenever I visited to say hello to the horsies, the feckers seem to expect that I brought them presents in the form of sugar lumps and Polo mints. The expression would be better phrased as 'don't ask questions when people give you nice things' and there's no better illustration of how to take this idea and run with it than British MPs. So, with their shining example in mind, when I was recently given an iPod Shuffle 2GB as an unwanted freebie (by a human, rather than a horse) I smiled and was very grateful...

Shuffle in the Jungle

Advantages: A piece of nano technology mastery.
Disadvantages: Being majorly 'nano', it can easily be lost.

Apple Ipod Shuffle: Everyday I'm Shuffling!

Advantages: Good value, easy to use, compact, looks good, good battery life
Disadvantages: No screen, non-expandable memory, not many features
