...look at what is available on the market, I have settled for the SS51G. It is not the newest Shuttle on the market but it is still well priced and fast. When Intel Northwood CPU prices started to come down in price, a very fast Intel processor in it with the fastest RAM was chosen. In the end my processor was £170 but this was nearly 18 months ago. This is a great system for portability and economy! It is economical becuase of a large amount of components are onboard and so it also makes it a little easier in chosing the right parts. It is possible to buy a carry case for it and other bits for it. ...I bought the Shuttle PN31 Infrared Remote for my Dell Dimension 8400 PC running Microsoft XP Home Edition two months ago and love it!! The remote requires no driver CD or software - simply plug the black infrared receiver into a USB port and your PC recognises it straight away as a "human interface device", just as it does a mouse or keyboard. It has a built in mouse which is really easy to use. There are a number of "hot keys" - these are shortcut buttons which allow you to open windows media player, your web browser, start menu, email, favorites, my computer, it even allows you to turn off your computer at the press of a button!!!!
