Almost perfect DVD player

Advantages: DivX, price, small and light
Disadvantages: USB 1.1 only, front display controls too small

...One day last month I found our 3 month old DVD player no longer worked (back to the shop for you - if I can find the receipt). It was a really nice (though cheap) DivX DVD player. It had a USB interface so I could watch DivX files from our computer via a flash memory drive - a really cool feature. So I was gutted that the machine didn't recognise any discs put into it. * Time for a new DVD Player * The next evening was spent browsing around some sites on the Internet. I've never heard of a company called Sigmatek and I thought they were one of a long list of new Chinese companies that have sprouted up from nowhere recently (it appears they are French actually). DVD player for girls with a passion for fashion

I've seen brands such as KISS and Yamada but later came across this DK Digital DVD-500 DivX DVD player after the prices have dropped. It only cost £41.98 (61.52 Euros) from SVP Communications (AKA Blank Disc Shop). -= The Player =- The player looks sleek with a black and silver design. Black at the front with silver at the top and bottom curving in towards each other at the middle, which I think looks really good. ...I've just bought one of these. Oooh it's good. Really good. Here's why. It's a dead cool DVD player which is ideal if you have an HD ready telly and want to really enjoy your DVDs to the full. It has Dolby sound so is great if you hook it up to separate speakers, but pretty good if you don't, too. It comes in silver (well aluminium) or black, and compared to some DVD players it is quite chunky - about the thickness of a video recorder. I don't know why. I forgive it this though, as the picture quality is awesome. Really sharp.
