Advantages: good hand cream Disadvantages: cheap packaging
...The first thing that caught my attention with this product was the proud boast on the packaging that it included silicone, surely this is reserved for breast implants and non stick pans! Apparantly, so the packaging continues, silicone is well known for its intense moisturising and skin protection properties - well not to me they weren't.
The cream is easily absorbed and leaves hands smooth - the residue scent is inoffensive.
The cheap price is reflected in the packaging - in my case the tube split at the top causing the product to leak. This is a good product but obviously packaging costs are kept to a minimum to cheap retail price low....
Advantages: it dries really fast Disadvantages: nozzle gets blocked up
.... So Mr Postman comes along, posts the letter, it falls to the floor and most of the time slides back under the door and out to him, lol.
So we now had to find something that will temporarily seal the gaps small and large and get a new brush for the door which we have done.
We went to B & Q, my favourite store and was looking for something that would do the trick. Now I am good at DIY where as Mr Bubbles would come back with anything, I looked and saw some of the products and they were around £6-£10 range and thought this was a bit pricey. Money was getting tighter as costs of this house including the deposit was seriously eating into our rainy day savings.
Then I found Unibond Interior Frame Sealant and it cost us just under £4. Now this is a new product and could have been on special offer as I would have expected to pay a bit...

Review of Unibond Sealants
Advantages: Choice of bead width. Doesn't require dispensing gun. Widely available Disadvantages: Smells like the sarsons factory after a catastrophic leak!!!! Can't be used in permanently wet areas.
...We have recently given our tired old looking bathroom a bit of a make over. As well as a new shower, new tiles and new taps, we decided to remove the mouldy old sealant around the sink and bath and replace it with new. For this purpose we chose Unibond's high performance shower, bath and kitchen sealant.
The main reason we used Unibond is due to the fact that it is a well-known and trusted brand and is also widely available. We purchased ours at B&Q for £3.99 for a 90ml (90g) tube. The other big advantage is that as we do not have a traditional silicone gun, this product can be purchased in an aerosol can, as well as the traditional tube to go inside your gun. The product is available in various sizes including 275ml and 310ml for bigger jobs. We bought the white finish as it fitted best into our bathroom, however translucent...
Advantages: Protects your paintwork and gives added shine Disadvantages: I haven't seen it in the shops, only available on line
...Until a few months ago I had never heard of Poorboys products, let alone their EX-P Sealant but I was shopping for some polish and this was recommended to be used with the polish I had chosen.
I did a little bit of research and found out that a sealant is a synthetic product which is designed for long term paint protection and also easy application.
This particular sealant made by Poorboys is a ?pure? sealant and an 'Amino Functional Resin'. It can be applied in the sun or shade like other products by this brand and it claims to be applied and buffed off with ease.
One thing I have noticed about the Poorboys products is that they all have a nice smell to them, this particular one smells of coconut which is a huge hit with me, though of course others might not think so.
As I had never used a sealant before, I read the instructions...
Advantages: essential to me Disadvantages: weighs a ton
...and polish, teeth were all sparkly for about three hours until I found a bottle of red wine.
Cuddly penguin ? don?t ask!
Phone numbers ? maybe I should write the persons names with the phone numbers, which would be quite helpful wouldn?t it.
A teabag ? one of my herbal sachets for work, apple and cinnamon, very refreshing.
A canister of all weather sealant stuff, a bag of screws and various unknown objects ? we?ve just been to B & Q (my husband knows how to treat me), and it was easier to shove everything in my bag than wait for the decrepit 89 year old checkout operator to make a decision about whether to offer us a bag or not.
I think I do quite well to get all that junk, sorry useful stuff, in my bag. I challenge you all to divulge the contents of your bags and reveal them to the nation, well the nation of Ciao anyway....

Review of What's in my bag?
Advantages: Protect the nipple and relieve pain while still allowing breastfeeding Disadvantages: Can cause baby to become lazy and can affect milk establishment.
...and I do agree that they should be used only as a last resort and there are other options and better ways of solving the problem such as Kamillosan and other lotions.
How much are the Nipple Shields?
They cost my mum £4.49 from Mothercare and they are also available from the Chemist, Boots and most leading supermarkets who have a mother and baby section. You can also get them directly from Avent. See the end of the review for contact details.
What are they made of?
They are made purely of soft silicone to allow effective suction and are comfortable and soothing on the breast.
How do they work?
They are designed to cover the nipple and the areola (the brown circle surrounding the nipple) for better suction. This also enables you to get a better grip with two fingers holding it against the breast to prevent unlatching...
Advantages: Great professional finish Disadvantages: Smell when applying
...Ok I have to admit it - I have a problem, not too embarrassing, just a little bit of dampness now and again?.. in the bathroom. So to keep the house in tip top order, I needed to reseal the tiles around the bath.
*** What is it? ***
Uni Bond high performance shower and bath sealant is just that, a waterproof sealant for the bath!! It is used to seal the joint between the tiles and the bath, to prevent water running down and ruining the plaster/ceiling of the room below, which in my case is the kitchen. This is a great product, it is also mould resistant, pretty useful for an area that gets a lot of water!! Although I used for the bath/shower, it can be used on worktops, basins and such like. It also has a 35 year guarantee!!
The colour I got was brilliant white. I haven't seen any other colours.
*** What's the pack...
Advantages: I got to see famous people like Mick Jones and Sarah Blackwood Disadvantages: They were just rather disappointing
...Carbon/Silicon and Client @ Oxford Zodiac Thursday 13/5/04
In fairness, I should probably admit to going to this gig having heard neither band and without much idea what to expect. Sometimes you get the chance to see big name people in small name bands, and so it was tonight. Headliners Carbon/Silicon, fronted by Mick Jones (The Clash) and featuring Tony James (Sigue Sigue Sputnik - and The Sisters [thanks docpov]), on their inaugural four date tour with support from Sarah Blackwood (ex-Dubstar)?s new band Client.
There being no local support, Client are on early, playing to a very sparse Zodiac. Sarah and her accomplice Kate Holmes (who play under the clever pseudonyms Client A and Client B - no one knows which is which?) really have the image, sharply dressed, cold and sexy. Their music is heavily indebted to the likes of Human...

Review of Carbon Silicon
Advantages: Easy to apply, fills all holes and cracks Disadvantages: The smell
...I've just finished re-tiling the bathroom and needed to seal the edges with something that was flexible and water-proof - as Kylie Minogue wasn't available I went for "UNIBOND Bathroom and Kitchen Sealant" instead.
Before starting my bathroom project, we regularly had floods of water on our bathroom floor where the water had leaked through the various holes and cracks around the existing bath seal (helped by the kids of course).
So I was keen to make sure that I did this part of the job as best as I could.
~~~ Price ~~~
I paid just under £8 at Homebase for a 275ml can - I've seen it at B&Q before so I imagine it's quite widely available from most DIY stores.
I think that £8 is relatively reasonable compared to the price of paint and other DIY products these days.
According to the can, this size will cover approximately 10.4m...
Advantages: Non-silicone, contains beeswax, restores wood colour, silky finish Disadvantages: can be too slippery for some applications
...I?ve found that when I ?just? spray and wipe, it bears little resemblance to the demonstrations unless I already have a shiny surface before I start. With silicone-based polishes I often find I get a hazy film on the surface which is hard to remove. With light oak furniture in particular I found no substitute for solid beeswax and a lot of hard labour. Until, that is, I discovered Wood Silk.
You will find Wood Silk in most supermarkets amongst other spray furniture polishes. The most distinctive feature of the can is its orange top that is shaped like a beehive. The rest of the can is predominantly orange with a stylised design representing the cells of a honeycomb. It comes as no surprise that it contains Beeswax and nutrient oils, but in case of doubt the fact that it is NON SILICONE is boldly declared in red capitals above...
