...Being a mountain bike mad man I decided it was time to get a new bike. Shopping around for a bike these days gets complicated with the huge variety of bikes you can buy and for a wide price range. Me being me I like the hard tail mountain bikes. That's a bike without rear suspension. If your on recreational cycling or after some sport competition then a hard tail is a good choice for a reasonable choice. THE BIKE HOW MUCH and CHOOSING IT Anyways, after much decision making I finally went for the Specialised Rockhopper Comp Disc 2007 bike. At £749 this for me is actually not a bad price bearing in mind you can get bikes for £4000 plus. FSR-XC comp - after 15 months of ownership

Advantages: Great Value, great suspension, good alround bike
Disadvantages: Slightly weighty, not much else!

...What a great bike. I bought this in November 2005, and have used and abused it around the trails of the Isle of Man & North Wales since. Has had a new chain and brake pads, but appart from that has stood up to a lot of abuse very well. Oh, and new tyres too - not that they wear out, just that I am obsesive about trying to find the best tyre to suit my riding! The rear suspension (specialized's 4 point system) is brilliant, and totally lives up to the hype. I've tried friends bikes and can hand on heart say it is better than all. The front forks are good - but best of all the 100mm travel compliments the rear 100mm so well. Sure 130mm is becoming the norm, but it is far better to have a ballanced bike, with 100mm of excellent suspension than 130mm of rubbish. ...Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is one of the most best selling games of all time. It boasts amazing graphics and brilliant a brilliant story line. From the first mission it engages you into all of the action. It has made a brilliant step up, from the previous WW2 versions. The story mode is a little short, but never worry! because, if you want a challenge, try it on Veteran. Going online, and showing your skills is very fun, and is extremely hard to stop playing. The game gives you plenty of different game modes online and lets you show your ability with different ranks. Despite having most things perfect, there are no online achievements, which does not bother me to be honest. What the game could have next time to improve would be a online co-op player mode. ...These hair straghtners really are a dream come true. As ever they straighten hair with ease and precision. i find they heat up very quickly and audibly bleep to let you know they are at temperature. the ceramic plates glide through my hair with no pulling or tugging, turning locks into beautifully straight hair. I have always been a big GHD fan, but have in the past found that they didnt last all that long, though these mark 4's touch wood have been fine so far. they curl brilliantly too. really are a godsend for hassle free styling. great too for those mornings iv slept in and in a great hurry. it only takes about ten minuites to straighten my shoulder length hair. couldnt be without them now....

GHD MK4 Straighteners

Advantages: easy to use, maintains heat, great for all hair types, durable, handy size for travelling
Disadvantages: mite be bit costly for the younger customers, but defenately a great value for money

Advantages: Good engine performance
Disadvantages: a few rattles on the trim & road noise

...I went for the TD4S, it's the lowest specification model, no air con, steel wheels, one driver side air bag, basic radio/casette. The plus side to this is it's less attractive to potential thieves than a TD4 with all the "bells" The car drives very well as the 1951cc diesel engine is excellent. I have not found any great problems with acceleration it moves off quite well and while not a sports car it copes when there is a need to pull away a bit sharpish in to moving traffic. The gearing is excellent, very positive and quite forgiving if you are over geared for the speed, takes a lot to stall it. It has a hill descent control device on the gear stick, designed for descending steep slippery off road hills. Advantages: Immense individual, multiplayer and online gameplay
Disadvantages: Could be more missions

...This is one of the greatest games ever made, and in my opinion the greatest game for online gamplay that exists. The missions are compelling and excellent, and the graphics are unbelievable. The best part of the game is the Xbox Live gameplay (for Xbox 360) and is really addictive (I know of people who have clocked up over 30 days of Call Of Duty 4 online gameplay) and is especially fun if you play with your friends as you can compare stats like most kills and most points etc. The game is so popular that the price is still reasonably high (between £30 and £40) which is a credit to Activision as they really have exceeded expectations with this revolutionary game. The sound effects are incredible, and the noise of the gunshot is so convincing and realistic it can feel like your actually near gunfire. I would recommend however...

GHD MK4 The daddy of straighteners!!

Advantages: Heat up quickly, Turn themselves off, Keeps hair straight
Disadvantages: Dont last a lifetime

...I have used GHD irons ever since they came out years ago. They are the best thing for people with hair like mine (frizzy, curly, hard to straighten). They heat up within seconds and unlike the old model the new MK4 model actually turns its self off after half an hour, which is never a bad thing! As a hairdresser i use these day in day out on clients and myself and am never disappointed with the results. Be it curly, straight or wavy you can create all these looks with GHD's. Although they do not last forever, i have had too many pairs to count! But GHD do not fail us here, if you pop in to a salon that sell GHD's they will have a free post bag which you can send off and GHD will either send you a new pair or ix your current pair. So although expensive they really are worth the money....
