...Just when you thought Simon Pegg's ego couldn't get any more inflated, he releases this steaming pile of dogsnot. Granted that his work is not usually lowbrow, Run Fatboy Run has no comedic merit whatsoever, includes no new ideas or concepts and is just downright not funny. Pegg has made and starred in some excellent shows and films in the past. His work on the modern, surrealist, European sketch-show Big Train gave new depth to english comedy. Shaun of the Dead spoofed the zombie genre before anyone else had chance to, Spaced was simply incredible, even his short performance in Black Books alongside Dylan Moran was hilarious. His integrity was visibly in decline after Hot Fuzz, a comedy film which seemingly TRIED to be crap! ...still this is the worst thing yet. Dylan Moran's performance was also poor in this film, It was a novelty...

Review of Run, Fat Boy, Run (DVD)

Black Books plus Simon Pegg equals genius

Advantages: Really funny, great relationship between main characters
Disadvantages: There is no more

...that keeps the three friends together, often acting as go-between - having known Bernard for longer, she is all too aware of his personality traits and how to handle them. I've mentioned her last, but Grieg really does manage to stand her own in this series and is every bit as funny as her co-stars. There is a collection of British comedy stars who seem to flit in and out of each other's shows and films on a regular basis. In the first episode of this series, we have Simon Pegg, who is a rival bookseller and manages to attract Manny over to his side. Pegg is hilarious as the rather anal boss from hell and really helped to kick the series off to a great start. He may only have a finite range of characters, but frankly when he is as funny as this, I don't really care. In the second episode, Fran goes on a hen night with old schoolfriends...

Advantages: A decent pop album

...You will probably know of Simon Webbe as he was in the popular british boy band Blue, since they split up a couple of years ago he has gone solo and released two albums. He is the most successful solo member from Blue, and out of all four members he probably has the best voice. He has been compared to other artists such as Lighthouse Family and Seal; I can definitely see the comparisons with these artists as their music is similar. Grace is Simon's second album and is full of soulful pop songs. Coming Around Again - This was the first single from the album, and is a catchy feel good song about how if you have troubles on your mind you should put them to one side and watch the good times come round again. ...I read one of Simon Kernick's books last year called Relentless and really enjoyed it and I got a Smiths voucher for my birthday and saw he had this one out in paperback and so bought it straight away. The book is about a man called Tyler who wakes up in a room which he doesn't recognise in a bed covered in blood. When he looks under the covers he finds his girlfriends body with its head cut off lying next to him. He cannot remember the past 24 hours. In shock he looks around the room and propped next to the DVD player is a note saying Tyler, Play me. When he plays the DVD it shows him killing his girlfriend. While his mind is whirling from this he doesn't hear the person approach him who then electrocutes and drugs him. This all happens in the first two chapters and 28 pages. When he awakes he is in a car and a mobile rings...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. He has created an exceptional album that will appeal to people of all ages and all interests in music. This album includes the hit singles 'Lay your hands' and 'After all this time'. ''Lay Your Hands'' is a song about a close partner or girlfriend in which he desperately needs in order to overcome this phase he is going through.
