Sims 2 PS2

Advantages: Very long game, quite realistic in the way of needs.
Disadvantages: No children, no aging.

...I first played this game round a friends house a few years ago, and I was hooked the minute I picked up the controller. In my opinion it is definitely one of the greatest Sim games (Sims 2 PC has to be the best, but PS2 is a close second), and maybe one of my favourite games ever. I found controlling the sims movements rather than just clicking somewhere and them moving a great improvement, it provides the player with alot more freedom and interaction. In story mode, the game is very long and challenging, but that means more playing-time and more things to unlock! The more tasks you complete, the more you get rewarded. .Building your Sim. When I created my first sim, I was quite overwhelmed by the variety of different things to choose from. I ended up looking through the different clothes for at least half an hour, trying to decide...

Woohoo - The Sims 2!

Advantages: Great graphics, cool objects, multiple towns etc etc
Disadvantages: Can get a little repetitive, too addictive!

...--: Introduction :-- I was, (am), a huge fan of The Sims and so when The Sims 2 came out I couldn't wait to play, but wait I did due to money etc and I finally got it about 3 months ago. I've played it so much since that I decided it was time I wrote a review. The Sims 2 is made by Maxis a part of EA Games who have a long pedigree in PC gaming. It was released on September 14, 2004 as the sequel to the extraordinarily popular The Sims. --: Installation and System Requirements :-- The "official" system requirements are as follows but it really is a case of the bigger the better. In my experience you can play the Sims on a PC with the spec below but it will be very slow to load, the game play will be slow and the game will freeze regularly. The graphics also won't be as pretty as they are on a better machine. I've played it...

The Sims 2 - Your own personal sitcom on demand

Advantages: Hours and hours of addictive fun, lots of scope for creativity
Disadvantages: None at all, except that later expansion packs may slow your game down notably

...Well, ?The Sims 3? has just arrived, I've got my copy and am just getting to grips with it. However, it requires a fairly high-spec PC, and mine already struggled with ?The Sims 2? because I have the full set of expansion packs (it was reasonably OK up to the last two expansions, Free Time and Apartment Life, and now it really suffers). For those who have still not had the pleasure of playing either The Sims or The Sims 2 and are curious to give this wonderful, fascinating Life Simulator series a go, but your PC is not high enough spec for The Sims 3, I highly recommend getting yourself a copy of either The Sims 2 base game as depicted above, or the newer re-packaged version ?The Sims 2 Double Deluxe? which contains The Sims 2, the Nightlife expansion pack, and the Celebration stuff pack. According to the game?s publisher, EA Games...

the sims 2 pets expansion pack

Advantages: great new features
Disadvantages: i prefer holiday pack more

...The product I am reviewing is "the Sims 2 pet's expansion" About a year ago I loved playing on the Sims 2 games. I paid £14.99 for this game from play.com Id purchased : The Sims 2 University, The Sims 2 Nightlife, The Sims 2 Open For Business, The Sims 2 Family Fun Stuff Pack, The Sims 2 Seasons ,The Sims 2 Bon Voyage and of course last but not least the Sims 2 pets . The thing that appealed to me the most about purchasing the expansion and stuff packs were the fact they offered great new furniture, hair styles, clothes, dialect, houses, cars and many other things my Sims could experiment. Buying the expansion packs made playing on the Sims 2 so much more entertaining, when you buy a game and you play it religiously after so long you get bored of it but with the large choice of expansion and stuff packs available you always had...

The Sims 2 Comes Up Trumps Again

Advantages: Adds a new dimension to the original platform game
Disadvantages: Very time consuming to achieve results

...So you bought The Sims 2, and though you were hooked for a while, you began to lose interest a bit and released that you do actually have a life of your own to run, instead of spending all your time ensuring the happiness of your Sims families. Time passes by, and you enjoy the benefits of a social life, and then... like a bat out of hell, The Sims 2 University expansion pack bursts on to the scene. "Oh no!" I hear you cry! Just as you had reajusted your skin to the presence of daylight, something new in the world of the The Sims 2 has come to grab you back and stick you to your computer chair until the early hours. The Sims 2 University expansion pack offers another dimension for gamers who already own the platform game, The Sims 2. Now there is the opportunity to go to college/university, and therefore another life stage in...

The Sims 2

Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: none

...Well what can I say about Sims 2? I was a big fan of the original Sims games. So when Sims 2 was released on to the shelves I brought it straight away. With in a few hours of playing I realised that the box should come with a warning. This game is completely addictive! So say good bye to your friends, family and career, because the second this game is loaded you won't be leaving the house for weeks. Basically you control every aspect of your Sims life. After you've waited the few hours it will properly take to install and load, the first thing you do is either select a ready made family or create a new. If you're anything like me, you'll want your Sim to look exactly how you want it to, so you'll want to create one. From toddler to elder, from fat to thin, you can even choose how big their nose, mouth, ears and eyes are! You get...

The Sim's on PS2

Advantages: See op
Disadvantages: Everything.

...I pre-orded The Sim's a while ago for PS2 but I must say, Iv played better games. I just think it is very boring. To be honest, I do not understand all the hype and attention that the game is receiving. The game is nothing like the PC versions, unless they are very boring too. The game is really just about creating your own life or your own family. You start of by clicking on the Get A Life option to create your own person, you can ether make him or her up, or you can base the character on yourself, which might be difficult as their is only so much the game can do and I think it is to restricted. Anyway, you start by typing in the Family Name which is the second or last name of your character, then you make a first name up, or use your own name. You then go on to your characters appearance, select a head part...

The Sims 2: Castaway - Review

Advantages: Easy to play, good sound effects, suprising, addictive
Disadvantages: Cannot build relationships as in other Sims games

...I am a big fan of The Sims and purchased this game at £34.99 from my local HMV store. After changing the game twice because it wouldn't load someone finally told me you need a psp update for it to load (too high spec). After this i found the game loaded ok but abit slow, the wait between loading different island scenes can be annoying. Anyway, i was pleased that i had full control over customising my sims personality, hairstyle, skin colour, star sign, etc, and i could choose to start the game alone or with crewmates (additional sims). You select an occupation for each sim that will be of adavntage to them on the island and you're off! The game is easy to play in that you have a guide/manual within the game in the diaries left by other shipwrecked islanders. It's fairly predictable but good fun, i enjoyed improving my sims skills...

Sims 2 castaway: Nintendo DS review

Advantages: Many different activities to do to survive and become self efficient
Disadvantages: Disappointing, easy to become bored of

...I have really enjoyed the Sims games in the past. Disappointed that my computer is not compatible with Sims 3 due to my display card not being up to the requirements I decided to play castaway. In the game my sims character is stranded on an island and has to find a way to get off it. As the game progresses the sim comes across a medic, chef, girl and a gardener and offers to help them and in return receives items and eventually the ability to trade goods. As in the usual sims standard functions such as hunger, energy, hygiene, bladder, social, comfort need to be maintained. "Hunger" The sim is able to explore the island and hunt under the rocks for bugs as nutritional snacks, however this does decrease comfort and hygiene. These bugs also come in handy later for fishing and dying clothes. Coconuts can be collected from...
