The Sims 2 Comes Up Trumps Again

Advantages: Adds a new dimension to the original platform game
Disadvantages: Very time consuming to achieve results

...So you bought The Sims 2, and though you were hooked for a while, you began to lose interest a bit and released that you do actually have a life of your own to run, instead of spending all your time ensuring the happiness of your Sims families. Time passes by, and you enjoy the benefits of a social life, and then... like a bat out of hell, The Sims 2 University expansion pack bursts on to the scene. "Oh no!" I hear you cry! Just as you had reajusted your skin to the presence of daylight, something new in the world of the The Sims 2 has come to grab you back and stick you to your computer chair until the early hours. The Sims 2 University expansion pack offers another dimension for gamers who already own the platform game, The Sims 2. Now there is the opportunity to go to college/university, and therefore another life stage in...

the sims 2 pets expansion pack

Advantages: great new features
Disadvantages: i prefer holiday pack more

...The product I am reviewing is "the Sims 2 pet's expansion" About a year ago I loved playing on the Sims 2 games. I paid £14.99 for this game from play.com Id purchased : The Sims 2 University, The Sims 2 Nightlife, The Sims 2 Open For Business, The Sims 2 Family Fun Stuff Pack, The Sims 2 Seasons ,The Sims 2 Bon Voyage and of course last but not least the Sims 2 pets . The thing that appealed to me the most about purchasing the expansion and stuff packs were the fact they offered great new furniture, hair styles, clothes, dialect, houses, cars and many other things my Sims could experiment. Buying the expansion packs made playing on the Sims 2 so much more entertaining, when you buy a game and you play it religiously after so long you get bored of it but with the large choice of expansion and stuff packs available you always had...

THE SIMS: LIFE STORIES (PC)

Advantages: Laptop friendly, comprehensive tutorial for beginners
Disadvantages: Expensive for what it's worth, not for the experienced Sims players

...?Windows? bar, to allow you to use the computer at the same time, such as exploring the Internet (though computer does slow down) and using Office packages. ~~~~~~~~~~ PLAY WISE ~~~~~~~~~~ You can play on two different modes on LS ? the story or the free play mode. The story mode is as I?ve explained earlier with Riley and Vince?s story. With the free play mode, it?s basically what you play on Sims 2. This game is extremely easy for those who have played Sims 2, as it uses the same format and functions. For those who haven?t played it, you control the Sim?s everyday action. Your Sims must get involve in mundane tasks (like humans), in order to survive longer. So they will be doing chores such as cleaning the toilet, watching telly, painting and cooking. The adult Sims can have babies, which will grow up into toddlers...

addictive sims

Advantages: great graphics, more options,
Disadvantages: won't work on all pcs,

...Yes I know it's been out for quite some time but it was all completely brand new to me when I got it as a christmas present this year. It wasn't completely random, I have had the old Sims PC games somewhere in the back of a drawer somewhere, collecting dust because I had more important things to do than spend hours controlling a little person. And now I find out that they'll be bringing out a Sims 3 soon, which is just all very typical. But at least maybe the price of other expansion packs might decrease. It is very simple to set up with only 2 discs. One of them is something you can watch so in fact it's just the one that you have to contend with. Just stick it into your drive and away you go with the usual 'next', 'yes' and 'finish.' On some computers it will not work properly, despite having a Windows XP my gamecard could...

Sims 2 University doesn't add much to gameplay

Advantages: added more objects, more gameplay, fun for a while
Disadvantages: got boring quite quickly, not enough to it

...The Sims 2 University was one of the first expansion packs for the The Sims 2 so of course I was optimistic about trying it for the first time. It gave a new dimension to the base game, allowing teenagers the chance to go to University once they'd finished their teen years. You didn't have to choose this option however, you could still transform your teens as per normal too. The expansion pack offered the young sim three campuses they could go on to and start their University life. The concept was interesting but in my opinion it got boring quite quickly. You played the University pack like it was a new household and you kind of lost touch with your main families. There weren't that many add ons for the game and once you've got one sim through their course you've pretty much had enough. However the pack did have its good points, it...

Sims 2 Free Time

Advantages: Excellent add on role playing game. Very addictive
Disadvantages: NONE

...I am a huge fan of the Sims 2 and have all the expansion packs and stuff packs which have been released. Sims 2 Freetime by far is one of my favourite expansion packs. Your sims now have 10 hobbies which they can take part in : *Arts and Crafts *Cuisine *Film and literature *Fitness *Games *Musica & Dance *Nature *Science *Sports *Tinkering Each sims hobby is choosen for them by the computer once you have created your sim and the sim has to take part in "their" hobby before you know which is their particular one. Once you have established your sims hobby you then start to build enthusiasm for it by taking part in the activities they enjoy. Each Sim is given a bug box in their Inventory which they can display in their homes and collect beetles, spiders and butterflies which all count towards the Nature enthusiasm...

Sims 2 PS2

Advantages: Very long game, quite realistic in the way of needs.
Disadvantages: No children, no aging.

...I first played this game round a friends house a few years ago, and I was hooked the minute I picked up the controller. In my opinion it is definitely one of the greatest Sim games (Sims 2 PC has to be the best, but PS2 is a close second), and maybe one of my favourite games ever. I found controlling the sims movements rather than just clicking somewhere and them moving a great improvement, it provides the player with alot more freedom and interaction. In story mode, the game is very long and challenging, but that means more playing-time and more things to unlock! The more tasks you complete, the more you get rewarded. .Building your Sim. When I created my first sim, I was quite overwhelmed by the variety of different things to choose from. I ended up looking through the different clothes for at least half an hour, trying to decide...

The must have sims 2 pack!

Advantages: downtown area, new interaction and characters
Disadvantages: none

...When I bought my own copy of the Sims 2 game I knew I wanted this expansion pack with it, so I bought the new Sims 2 deluxe pack which includes both games on one DVD rom disc. The reason I wanted this one so much is that I think it's important to own it if you want to get full enjoyment out of the Sims 2 as it has so much to offer on it. It was originally released in September 2005, around a year after the Sims 2 was released. It's a big expansion pack which adds a whole new area, Downtown, to the game as well as a whole load of other features and new characters. Downtown is basically a place your sims can visit once you have this expansion pack. Here they can dine out, visit sculpture parks, go to night clubs and shops as well as meet other sims that come on this expansion pack. If you want sims to go out and make friends, and even...

Review of The Sims 2: Nightlife Expansion Pack (PC)

There's only one, classic, unique Sims.

Advantages: Good fun, Classic game, Deep customization, Unique
Disadvantages: Outdated by newer verisons

...At the turn of the new millennium a new sort of game emerged, a game of the likes had not been seen before despite its simplicity and relation to everyday life as human beings see it. The game was set to go down in history from the moment of its release, becoming the most sold PC game in history. It went from strength-to-strength, with several expansion packs also being released which would enabled extra features, characters and objects for your original games. As well as these, in more recent times the Sims 2 and 3 respectively have been developed and sold worldwide and have cemented the game in it?s place as one of the best ever created. But this review is going to feature on the little accord of the original first Sims. The game?s goal and gameplay is simple, very simple, so simple that it is quite possible that the reason that...

The Sims 3, PC

Advantages: A virtual life if you don't have one of your own ;o)
Disadvantages: Can spend hours on this game wasting my real life

...Take control of your very own sim. They can take on the appearance of anyone. Someone you like, or even someone you don't like. You can choose the appearance and personality of your Sim. It's very easy to set up a Sim initially. There are various personality and character traits and you can choose a large combination of different ones. But if you prefer you can just use a ready made Sim. You can set life goals for your Sim. Such as becoming a Spy, or maybe a Master Criminal, or just to have kids. Your decisions in the game will help you or hinder you on your path to this goal. Throughout the game you will get pop-up tips to help you with the controls etc. These are initially helpful but can get a little annoying after a while and there is no easy way that I know of turning them off. It's a shame that you can't have pets in...
