Advantages: Very long game, quite realistic in the way of needs.

...I first played this game round a friends house a few years ago, and I was hooked the minute I picked up the controller. In my opinion it is definitely one of the greatest Sim games (Sims 2 PC has to be the best, but PS2 is a close second), and maybe one of my favourite games ever. I found controlling the sims movements rather than just clicking somewhere and them moving a great improvement, it provides the player with alot more freedom and interaction. ...I have always been a fan of the sims since it was released on PC, however I don't think any other console lives up the computer version. This sims two on computer has the ability to have kids and watch them grow up, which is one of the main features, however I was disappointed to find that the Playstation version was the same as the original sims but in 3D. The game takes ages to load especially when trying to customize your characters. However on the Playstation version there is a storyline running through it where you have to meet goals to move onto the next stage. Eventually you progress into a successful business person. Advantages: scary,intense but fun and gets your brains working.
Disadvantages: a little difficult for first timers playing this game but average

...family, that's not something I really enjoy. I much prefer to make my own Sims completely from scratch. In the Sims 3, this is very easy to do, and it's very easy to make your Sims look exactly how you want them. You are given a colour palette under each option and so are able to make your Sim exactly the way you want them to be. For example, you can change your Sims skin tone to be as light or as dark (or as green!) as you want them to be. You can change their hair, give them roots, give them highlights - all chosen from a colour palette rather than a preplaced grid. There are default faces and shapes but if you don't want to use these you don't have to. You can tweak every little detail, from how wide their nose is to how much their chin sticks out! Personally I find the Sims to be much more attractive and varied than in The Sims 2 as well...
