...?I?d try to comprehend you but I got a dyslexic heart?? Singles, Cameron Crowe?s 1992 tale of the twentysomething search for love in Seattle, is one of my all-time favourite films. This sweet, episodic mix of neatly interlinking storylines is very human, very funny and has probably the best soundtrack of any film in that decade (yes, that includes Pulp Fiction). ?How did this stuff get so complicated? I don?t know.? The storyline strands are relatively few, and this is why the film continues to be coherent and believable. Poor Linda has been dumped on more times than she cares to remember, so is in no mood to meet Steve, who might just be the love of her life. A Great Singles Band

Advantages: Britpop at its best, Bernard Butler

A single cream substitute

...My family have not only recently become aware of the dangers of excess saturated fat in their diet. Sometime ago along with margarine spread on bread and toast for breakfast they switched to Elmlea single as a substitute for cream with fruit for desert (especially on Sundays). Today mum brought some around as a special treat to remind me of old times. It was the start of August the use by date is 07/October/2006. It does not recommend freezing and eat within 5 days of opening. THE PRODUCT My 284 ml pot (10 floz) came in about 4" high x 2" wide. It had a silver foil top that peals off (white and blue in colour). The white and red packaging describes the content as a lower fat blend of buttermilk and vegetable oils. Review of Elmlea Single Cream Substitute

Feeder, with all their singles on one disc.

Advantages: All of their best songs from over the years on one disc
Disadvantages: still new, so hard to get hold of cheaply

...with the singles, "Buck Rogers", and "Seven Days In The Sun" which immediadely became huge anthems, and recieved a great deal of airtime with their energetic and catchy riffs, verses and chord progressions.The simple composition of these songs and others on the album made them easy to listen to, and budding musicians could play along at home.It looked like they were going to just get bigger and bigger when on January 7th 2002, tragedy struck, with the unexplained suicide of drummer John Lee. For a while the future of the band was uncertain, but after a few months to come to terms with the loss, it was decided to carry on. ...I could make a list (and I will, a little further down this article) on the pros and contras, but cmon now. You can argue anything you want, but always somebody else will argue the exact opposite and there is no one and only solution to this question. It depends on what kind of people we are and what do we expect from life. I believe people were "made" to live in a society, where a family is the smallest and primary social group. Living in a pair also seems natural for the human kind somehow, even if some cultures tend to practice polygamy or living in communities ignoring which family you belong to. Myself, I consider the single status a pain, innatural and I feel "more complete" myself when not single, so I kept trying to get out of singletonship and now I have been happily engaged. An Impressive Single malt

Advantages: Excellent taste
Disadvantages: Not available in the Supermarkets

...The Highland Park 18 year old single malt is one of my all time favourites. I open the bottle and sniff it and I get a warm feeling all over. I've got a sense of expectation, cos I know how good it is. It is a malt which can be slightly difficult to find, the Supermarkets' don't carry the 18 (most carry the 12). However specialist online retailers, e.g Royal Mile Whiskies, Wee Dram etc do carry it, not to mention the distillery shop. Some Oddbins also carry the 18. It is also available in most good whisky shops. It retails at around £60 a bottle (Its' worth every penny). The 18 year old is the equivalent of a bottle of XO Brandy, its' actually slightly cheaper. Its got an alcohol content of 43% It comes from an impeccable pedigree, Highland Park is one, in my view, of Scotland's premier distilleries, located in the Highland Region...

U218 Singles

Advantages: Perfect for casual listeners, value for money.
Disadvantages: Not so good for die-hard U2 fans.

...such as 'Ultra Violet (Light My Way)' and 'Two Hearts Beat As One'. It misses out tracks from the fantastic debut album 'Boy' and doesn't feature anything from highly underrated 'Zooropa' and 'Pop'. The only reason to buy this is if your a completist and must own everything, if you want to hear the new tracks and an alternate mix of 'Walk On', which were released as singles anyway or for the DVD. For the die-hard U2 fan: 3 stars. The DVD is a short film, comprising of only around 10 songs, but set in a fantastic venue in front of a fantastic crowd. It features a version of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" which is truly breathtaking. The Most Interesting Group of Singles you'll Meet

Advantages: Good compilation of The Smiths for someone wanting to get into the band, or someone with an interest in their music
Disadvantages: Some of their best material weren't released as singles, and so aren't on this album. Not as good as 'Very Best of the Smiths'
