Six Feet Under Season Five Review.

Advantages: One of the greatest tv shows ever created, gripping, briliantly written, can't get much better.
Disadvantages: There honestly is nothing or very little wrong with this show/season.

...No matter how many adjectives you pile upon this show, there simply aren't enough words to describe the incredible talents of everyone involved in creating a show that should be the bench mark for fellow TV shows and aspiring writers or directors for the future. These may be bold and strong words but Six Feet Under putting it simply, is one of, if not the best TV Show ever created. This is the fifth and final series of HBO's dark and disturbing drama set in a funeral home and is quite possibly the best of the lot. Season five ties up all the lose ends in what has been an emotional roller coaster for not only the characters but for the viewers too, keeping us both glued to the screen and dreading the end which inevitably is heading our way. Advantages: Great show, great acting,
Disadvantages: Not to everyone's taste, deals with death, expensive DVD set

...SIX FEET UNDER "Six Feet Under" is another Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning American drama series which has had success both sides of the Atlantic. It's had a 'ground-breaking' five-season run on HBO in the States (the same people who brought us Sex and the City) and though I thought we'd only seen the first three seasons over here in the UK, it would appear that four have been aired, as the fifth and final season will go out on E4 on the 16th August. As far as I'm aware, the first three seasons are available to buy as complete sets in this country, and you can get hold of the fourth season over the Internet as it's available to buy in the States. Six feet under forever

Advantages: I love this programme
Disadvantages: Others may not

...Six feet under is one of the best dramas ever to come from America.It centres around a family who run a funeral home.It takes you though the ups and downs that they come across.Here is my review on the final series In the this series we finally see what happens to each charcater. We see how Nate and Brendas married starts to fail and how the death of Nate effects the others. The series carries on from the fourth series.We see the marriage of of Nate and Brenda.The marriage of Keith and David. Also we see how Keith and David become fathers.How Claire and Ruth are still arguing and how the problems with George and Ruths marriage finally ends. ...As soon as I saw an advert on channel 4 for the first series of Six Feet Under, i knew it was a programme that would appeal to me. However, I only thought it would do that on a comic level. I was wrong (I am glad to say!). Here in the UK we have just finished with Season 3 which was in my opinion the best yet. Furthermore, season 4 is due to be aired any time soon! Well the show itself is set in a Funeral Home in California. The main characters are the Fisher family who own a funeral home and whose father (Nathaniel- played by Richard Jenkins) is tragically killed in car accident. Six Feet Under is the best American drama on TV!!

Advantages: Excellent DVD production, Good special features, Fanastic series
Disadvantages: Collectors edition box a bit flimsy.

...I am not usually a fan of American TV which is usually, in my opinion, dire. However, there are some exceptions, including Six Feet Under. This series is fantastic. It is a dark comedy drama set in Fisher and Sons Funeral Home in LA. Not wishing to give too much away, when Nathanial Fisher dies unexpectedly the rest of the Fisher family have the task of taking over the funeral home along with all the blood, sweat and tears involved. The comedy in this series is extremely dark, although it is in places more lighthearted than series 2 and 3. In some places this series is depressing (as you may expect), and in others it is funny and witty. The series stars Peter Krause (as Nate), Michael C. ...2002 was a pretty good year for American television, with accolades being given left, right and centre for shows such as 'The West Wing' and '24'. However, the best TV show to come out of the States last year was undoubtedly 'Six Feet Under', which follows the trials and tribulations of the Fisher family as they try to run their independent funeral home. Advantages: Very intelligent and thought-provoking
Disadvantages: If you miss an episode you might get lost!

...I like lots of TV shows, there are shows that I would even describe as great. But none of them can match how I feel about Six Feet Under. It is a darkly comical drama, written by American Beauty's Alan Ball. It is set in a family-run funeral home in California, and the storylines revolve around the family's lives, and the lives of those around them. Each episode begins with a death, each one very different. Certainly the most memorable is the one that kicks the first series, the death of Nathaniel Fisher Sr, family patriarch and owner of the funeral home. ...OK, those of you who have been reading my most recent reviews will know that I am on a Six Feet Under bender at the mo! This brilliant TV show is a drama series from the USA that pushes new ground in what TV is all about. It is a drama that follows the lives of the Fisher family who run a funeral home. The show is part gory and black humoured expose on death and dead bodies, part groundbreaking and touching drama. Seasons 3 is a really powerful one. By this point, the characters are well established. We left season two knowing Nate, our hero, was suffering from an illness that could take his life. Well, this season revolves largely around this.
