Good Woodworm Cricket Bat for a Junior/Beginner

Advantages: Value for money
Disadvantages: Not the best quality

...I recommended this bat to a brother of mine, a beginner, with not much experience of the game. I recommened this bat because of its value for money, as a junior or beginner, you don't want to be paying too much money for a bat, as it is all about fun, and not being too serious. As for the bat itself, you get what you pay for, you know when you pay around £20 your not going to get the best bat ever, but for a junior or beginner to the game it would be excellent due to its durability and weight. The bat my brother bought still exists now, well worn but he still uses it to this day, around a year or two ago when he bought it, he likes it and hes picky! DURABILITY + VALUE Like most bats it could potentially last well over 5 years but it has to have been well knocked in, (I recommend 3hours if it's pre-knocked in and 6 if it's not. That may sound like a lot but it really helps your bat.) well cared for and used properly. You may be saying what's knocking in. Knocking in is when you hit you're bat with a cricket ball or rounded mallet reasonably hard continuously. This gets the wood grain used to being hit so when you play for the first time and you try to hit the ball your bat won't snap on impact. ...I big cricket fan and player i am i was finally relieved to see the latest edition of Brian Lara International Cricket. After a two year wait was it all worth it? It was pleasing to see the graphics had been improved, player authenticity was a big improvement. Faces had been improved to distinguish certain players but some were still the basic formats. It was nice to see the that the newer ranges of bats such as the Gray Nicholls predator and Slazenger SXI, although it was a bit of a disappointment not to see the Woodworm or Puma range. The most impressive section of this game play is the players use their real life bats such as Strauss using the Gray Nicholls predator.
