What a Sizzler of a supper

Advantages: Healthy meal; spicy; wonderful textures and flavour; generous amount of chicken
Disadvantages: price?

...Seeing as I love anything spicy, I picked up 'Asda Good for you Chicken Sizzler' down the fresh food aisle for £2.50 - Ok, pretty expensiver but fresh usually is as compared to frozen. I don't see the point really; I was going to freeze it anyway! What drew me in was the product description on the front of the box - 'Tikka-marinated chicken breast in a richly spiced masala sauce with roasted onion wedges and crunchy red peppers' - emm Tikka; onion, red peppers - all my fav for just 286kcal and 6g of fat per 350g pack. The meal is box, as opposed to a sleeve cardboard covering so I couldn't slide off the cardboard to view the product as I usually do. ...After visiting Orlando 5 times, i finally stumbled upon the Sizzler. I had never eaten there before, but then found myself there every night for a whole two weeks! There is a fair selection of food available, but as the sizzler is a steak house, most of the food consists of portions of meat. There is not alot of choice for vegetarians, but you can get a cheeseburger. The all you can eat buffet mainly consists of fruit and vegetables however. There is a seafood section on the menu as well. When you enter the restaurant, you may be faced with a long queue. This is especially apparent at busy times of the year like Christmas. ...Recently Walkers introduced new Latin themed flavours in Doritos. Presumably this is a reflection of the British Nation?s new found love of spicy Mexican cuisine. However in my opinion this new spicy kid on the block cannot compete and will never usurp the beloved curry in the hearts of the British people. ...The location of this pub is a little difficult to get to due to the traffic lines that run past. So make sure you are in the correct lane, else you cannot turn in. This place has had several owners over the years, but is now a pub specializing in "sizzler" grills. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. There are a good selection of "light meals" or starters including the a prawn cocktail and a mixed chicken wing/onion ring/garlic bread/battered mushroom platter. There is a limited selection of vegetarian dishes on the menu, but it cannot be said to be over friendly in that sense. Salads and fresh burgers are available, but I have never tried them yet and I have been 20 or so times! Many dishes come in 3 sizes, small, normal and king sized. Less than £20 for both of us to stay the night.

Advantages: Location is fantastic, great value for money.

...Perfect location. One of the few places in Kissimmee that you can walk to shops, restaurants and entertainment which is a must after a hard days slogging around Disney. Check in was a bit basic and our friends card was declined despite it being thousands below their limit, weird. They used the card all the rest of the holiday and had no problem at all. Rooms were a bit basic but at a cost of less than £20 for a night (We needed a stop over before checking in to our timeshare.) it was acceptable. Standard features of Cable tv, air con and bath/shower plus two double beds. Swimming pool was okay but had a few bugs in it and ice machine was handy and free. Breakfast was included although it was just free coffee. We were right next to an all you can eat sizzlers breakfast place and we took advantage of that. So...

Eat Mexican off the A40

Advantages: Fairly rare type of ethnic food (for Acton that is)
Disadvantages: Varying waiting times - sometimes to the point of desperation

...This opinion relates to Chiquitos in general and more specifically the branch situated with the Warner Village complex on the w/bound A40 at Park Royal, Acton. This is very conveniently situated for a post or pre-flick meal. Again, the usual Frday and Saturdays night rush means waiting in the bar for a table. Sunday night gives you another problem - lengthy service. On one occasion, after being shown immediately to a table, I was forced to walk out after waiting 20 minutes for even a menu (and I actually LIKE the place!) I don't think they have quite got their staffing levels sorted. I have always found the Mexican style food good wholesome stuff, my particular favourite being the mixed beef and chicken fajitas, served at your table on a sizzler. Although I like quacamole and refried beans, I'm not keen on the way they blend...
