Skala for a relaxing holiday.
Advantages: Easy going resort for the Brits.
Disadvantages: Not too much but not very Greek, no Kefanion.
...We had been to Kefalonia about 14 years ago, our first experience of Greece, when re stayed at Lassi.
This time it would be Skala as Family/Friends going there for birthday.anniversery celebrations.
We stayed at the Hotel Anassas (seperate review, also reviews on Tavernas The Pines, Paspallis, Sunrise and the Boat Trips)
Skala is a seaside town, very Tourist Focused, so if looking...

A Place For Tourists and Turtles! (Kefalonia)
Advantages: Stunning scenery and an unspolit landscape
Disadvantages: None
...It seems hard to imagine that less than 48 hours ago I was standing on the top of a mountain top village, Markopoulo in Kefalonia, watching the procession of church goers following the priest into the picturesque church. Skala & touring round Kefalonia
Advantages: Great food, scenery, quiet, fantastic beaches
Disadvantages: Bad airport
...I went to Kefalonia for a week at the beginning of July 2005.
The weather was very hot and dry, about 39 degrees celsius, which for me was too hot. The locals said the weather was usually well over 40 degrees at that time of year.
I went to the resort of Skala with Kosmar. Airport transfer was just over an hour but take travelsick pills , as it's a journey with a lot of hairpin bends.
