Skala for a relaxing holiday.
Advantages: Easy going resort for the Brits.
Disadvantages: Not too much but not very Greek, no Kefanion.
...We had been to Kefalonia about 14 years ago, our first experience of Greece, when re stayed at Lassi.
This time it would be Skala as Family/Friends going there for birthday.anniversery celebrations.
We stayed at the Hotel Anassas (seperate review, also reviews on Tavernas The Pines, Paspallis, Sunrise and the Boat Trips)
Skala is a seaside town, very Tourist Focused, so if looking...

Advantages: Nice hotel, good swimming pool and bar, fantastic scenery, close to the beach, very peaceful
Disadvantages: Very remote - a few more tavernas would be advantageous, the seabed was covered in seaweed
...My partner and I have just returned from a wonderful holiday staying at the Hotel Coral in Skala Rachoni, Thassos. We booked with Thomsons Holidays as a last minute package deal, although this hotel can be booked independently. We stayed for a week during the school holidays from July 22nd to July 29th 2007.

...I?ve just returned from a sun soaked week in Kefalonia and after dealing with the comedown of returning to raining England, I thought I would write a review of the hotel I stayed in.
We went as part of a package with Thomas Cook, and stayed from 13th July for 1 week so it was just before the school holidays. The cost was just under Ł400 per person.
