Calis Beach resort

...My wife and I stayed at Calis Beach in may 2008. Th ehotel was away from the sea front. This made it nice and quiet on a night. Cails itself is a small village. It is all the villas that are getting built around it that makes it a big place. You can walk from the west end of the sea front to the east end in half hour slow walk. The main street running away from the front only takes a few minutes. This street is made up of bars and shops. There is a water park being built and I was told that it will be open for 2009 season. While you walk down the sea front where most of the restaurants are you will be tempted by the waiters to use thier restaurant. Please dont be offended by them. Rio Cali Review

Advantages: Compact robust design, great battery life

...I've owned a Rio Cali for over a year now and it's still going strong. It's a robust little player which supports both MP3 and WMA as well as incorporating an FM radio and loads of other features such as a useful graphic equalizer, playlist support, shuffle, programme etc... Ok, so it's getting a bit old now, but I'v added a 1gb SD card to mine so it now can hold a good 250-300 tracks, which is enough for most people, and its easy to change the library as it is compatible with Windows Media player and is drag and drop compatible. The sound quality is great and the LCD display is really useful. Battery life is amazing and it is incredibly easy to use....

...OK, I'm biased, having just got back from our third holiday in Calis (pronounced "Chalish"). WHERE IS IT? The resort is in SW Turkey, in region of Fethiye. The town of Fethiye (pronounced fet-ee-ay) is 2 miles away and from Calis you can get the dolmus boat which runs every half hour (9am - midnight) and costs 2.5 Lira (approx £1) per person each way and takes almost half an hour. It is 38 miles east of Dalaman airport by winding, often scenic road, although some of the fun has been taken from this journey by the opening this year of a toll tunnel under the mountains. It takes about an hour from the airport to the resort, depending on the speed of your driver. Many airlines fly direct to Dalaman, including Excel Airways, British Airways, Thomas Cook and Monarch. ...The Rio Cali Sport (RCS from now on in this review) MP3 player is one of RIO's range of flash memory MP3 / WMA format players. Equipped with 256Mb RAM it sells for around £80 - £100, but you may find it on overstock clearance for less, Argos for example were selling them recently for £59.99. It comes with a software CD and headphones. Having said that the price and specification are irrelevant, as after reading this your money will be going elsewhere I hope.
