great Skegness
Advantages: great fun
Disadvantages: might lose all ya money
...Oh I do like to be bye the sea side
Skegness well where do I start. Skegness is for every one old and young people. So I bet you are thinking well come on I wont to no all about Skegness well I will tell you every thing to what to do on sunny day's and all the way through to rainy day's.
Well ok let's start what to do when it is a nice hot day at Skegness. Well really loads of things. Let's think Skegness what would be the first thing you would do on a really hot day? Of course you would go to the top tourist attraction the beach. Stay there for how long as you wont and get that tan how you like it. Then what do you do? Well you can do any thing then of course you could go and get an ice cream and walk back to your hotel/BMB.
Or maybe you won't to have some real fun at the fair. Where there is every thing to...

Advantages: loads of things to do
Disadvantages: a little bad for kiddes nightlife
...skegness is great for people of all ages and the beaches go on for miles, dont get me wrong its not like the spanish costa or anything like that but if you want a typical british seaside holiday then skeggy is the place to go
PLACES TO VISIT
Natureland-this is a fantastic sealion centre, one of the best on the east coast,if you love sealions and want to see how they are looked after then let back into the sea then this is the place to be.you can see them getting fed, playing and being looked after in the infermiry also they have a great cafe, gift shop etc and other little attractions such as the greenhouse with plants, birds etc.The prices maybe a little steep adults are £7.50,children £6.50 but it is a lovely place for all ages

The Church Farm Museum, Skegness
Advantages: Lots to see, free admission
Disadvantages: Limited opening hours
...Skegness on the east Lincolnshire coast of England is a typically English seaside resort famous for its amusement arcades, sprawling caravan parks and theme parks. Everything here it would seem is geared towards the family and family fun, but this is young family fun, a place for toddlers to teens whose holiday fun includes ice cream and candy floss as well as lots of running around screeching and screaming. It might therefore be no great surprise to discover that I loathe Skegness and everything that it represents, but it might be surprising to hear that Skegness is home to at least two fantastic attractions. These include the Church Farm Museum (the subject of this review) and Gibraltar Point, a nature reserve to the south of the resort (and a likely future review).
The Church Farm Museum is located on the edge of a housing estate...

70's weekend at Butlins Skegness Nov 07.
Advantages: All like minded people together.
Disadvantages: None to write about.
...16 females went on our 2nd year to Butlins @ Skegness for the 70's weekend. We had travelled from various parts of the country, our ages range from 21 to 66 and our dance ability is just as varied.
We all have in common that we enjoy the 70's music good company and we all get along.
We set off Friday 9th Nov and as we could not get into the apartments until 4-00pm there was no rush.
We stayed in Silver apartments and it slept 6, and there was plenty of room for 6 females and all our belongings for the weekend. The total cost for the 3 rooms for 16 was £1,323-60 which worked out about £82 for the accommodation and entertainment for the weekend.
The kitchen cupboards were well stocked with mugs, glasses etc. we even had a microwave, iron and ironing board.
We went out Friday night dressed in our jim jams, fancy socks...

SKEGNESS OH THE JOY
Advantages: quite a good nightlife, really nice ice-cream
Disadvantages: the smell of chip fat & visitors with about 50million kids
...Skegness well where do i start ???
Ok Lets talk about thr first time i went to good old skeggy.
BACK THEN
The first memory of Skegness was when i went when i was 5 & i can remember playing on the beach, building sandcastles, playing on the trampolines (in particular losing £1 :-( jumping around) & ridding the donkeys. I had been many times before apparently but i have no recollection of those times (bad memory comes with age u know)
Then Skegness seemed wonderful lots of big rides , loads of other kids, lots of fun & always one of those granny pubs where old people play cards & dominoes (my grandparents took me).
THE BIT IN BETWEEN
Then for some reason my mum was really mardy about going couldnt stand the place (i could never understand why) & we began holidaying abroad (I mean wow what an experience )
I then never visited...

Butlins, we will skeg see you again
Advantages: a lot of enternainment for kids and adults
Disadvantages: pricey bars and merchandise
...As a mum of a 2 year old toddler I did not have a holiday last year and my husband andd I have only gone on a few foreign holidays in our 17 years together(money, money, money). However, our last holiday was in Crete and we loved it. This year, we were not able to go abroad and we were invited by relatives to go to Butlins in Skegness as they had gone there for the last 2 years. It took us a while but we finally decide that a break away was better than no break at all.
We booked online as it turned out to be cheaper than on the phone and we were away at the beginning of October for a week. Well you can imagine the misconception you have about a place, I pictured Butlins as the red coat country where Keith Chegwin would pop up every second of the day asking you why you were not having a good time.
On arrival, we were given our key...

Skegness is so bracing!
Advantages: Range of activities, amusements, food on-site
Disadvantages: Often busy
...Established on the sea front in 1881, Skegness Pier has been providing entertainment for young and old for 123 years. It's one of only 50 remaining piers left in the UK.
Obviously through the years the pier has faced some big changes - the most dramatic being the destruction of the old pier theatre in 1978 during a big storm. These days you won't find any theatres in the pier complex, but can find the Embassy Centre theatre just next door to the pier, which is also worth a look.
The indoor pier complex is big with an expansive range of amusements. There's the usual 2p and 10p slot machines you find in all arcades - with small prizes to win. There's an adult section, which deals with betting more than change, and is an 18+ zone. There are also games like air-hockey to be played. This is on the bottom section of the pier. If you...

Skegness Water Leisure Park (Tents and Caravans)
Advantages: Lovely surroundings, excellent on-site facilities, polite and friendly staff
Disadvantages: A fair walk to Fantasy Island, silly push button showers, some uneven ground for tents
...Well, it was mid-september, and we decided we needed a break, so being first time campers (I'd been camping when I was younger, with my parents and brother and sisters, but that was nearly 25 years ago, and now I had my own family), and having got all the camping gear, (frame tent, cooking stove, air beds, sleeping bags, etc), we decided to go camping in Ingoldmells in Skegness, (or Skeggy to most of us in Yorkshire!)
We searched the Internet for a place to stay, and came across a few sites, including The Skegness Leisure Water Park, which looked pretty good and reasonably priced.
We set off from Sheffield around 3pm, after having loaded the car up, (6 birth family frame tent with all poles, inner sleeping compartment and seperate ground sheet, cooking equipment, pots, pans, table, air bed, sleeping bags, suitcase, baby's travel cot...

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside
Advantages: plenty for children;
Disadvantages: very busy in summer months; not much to do in bad weather;
...NAME OF LOCATION: Skegness, a coastal town in Lincolnshire that has been popular for generations with day-trippers and longer stay holidaymakers alike.
BACKGROUND I went on a day trip as part of my duties with the St John Ambulance but have also visited the town many years ago as we had a caravan near Butlins just outside Skegness (on the road to Ingoldmells).
ATTRACTIONS
Butlins, which is just outside Skegness on the main road (between Mablethorpe and Skegness). - You have to pay to enter for the day or book a holiday there (self catering or half board). I have tried both and would heartily recommend either (we went with The Sun newspaper on a "cheap" holiday once so it is worth looking out for deals in the national newspapers - this was like the 4 for £38 kind of deals, if I remember rightly and was self catering. There are...

You won't get bored at Butlins!
Advantages: Lots to do, great fun family entertainment, good standard of accommodation
Disadvantages: Limited choice of food outlets for self-catering guests
...Having just returned from my third holiday at Butlins in Skegness, I thought I needed to explain just why my family keep going back and why we'll no doubt be going back in the future. Butlins is without doubt the most famous and original holiday park in the UK, with the Skegness site joined by parks in Minehead and Bognor Regis. For anybody who hasn't enjoyed the Butlins experience, guests stay in chalet accommodation within the park and lots of entertainment and facilities are also provided, most of which is included within the cost of the accommodation (with just a couple of exceptions.)
Accommodation
On previous visits (Easter 05 and May 07) we have stayed in Standard self-catering chalets which include, as you'd expect, a basic living area with a small kitchen area and bathroom in addition to the two bedrooms. These...
