...Wii is one of the greatest games consoles that I have ever purchased and I absolutely love all of the games that I have played on it to date. Wii Family Ski is a game that up to five people can play and requires the Wii Fit to be able to play. It took me a while to find the Wii Fit or as it is also known the balance board but I kept on searching and got there in the end. Wii Family Ski lets you create a character from scratch or you can import your Mii character too whilst selecting different ski gear for your character. You need to use the Nunchuck and Remote in your hands to use as ski poles and step on the Wii Board to really take advantage of this great game. Skiing heaven.

Advantages: Great holiday

...The silent majesty of the Canadian Rockies in winter is a completely unforgettable sight but the feeling of skiing down the tree lined runs is second to none. Now that Christmas is over it is time to dust off the Salopettes, dig out the passports, buy a new set of thermals and head off to the slopes. Well an introduction like that makes me sound like an expert skier who goes year in, year out racing down the black runs, well the reality doesn?t quite add up, I have been once, to one of the most peaceful, beautiful areas I have ever visited Lake Louise, in the Canadian Rockies. Review of Lake Louise, Ski Resort

The scary slopes of the Sheffield Ski Village!

Advantages: Good fun
Disadvantages: Quite expensive

...nervous and apprehensive about. We each paid £17 for a one hour lesson, which included the hire of all of the equipment. The first difficult task was encountered shortly after parting with our money and long before we got anywhere near the slopes since neither of us could get our ski boots on no matter how hard we tried. After a few minutes we were both rolling around on the changing room floor hysterical until a member of staff took pity on us and sorted us out. Then, with no more excuses we headed off to the nursery slope where we met our instructor, Caroline. As there was only the two of us we were put with another group of people which formed ten of us in a group of absolute beginners.
