Off-piste with Thinsulate Ski Gloves

...Not so much a comment on the current arctic weather up here in Scotland as a testimonial for my trusty Thinsulate gloves. These have once again proved themselves invaluable as we struggle to maintain some semblance of normal life, buried under around two feet of snow already this year! But that?s exactly the kind of conditions for which they?re intended. There are several versions of Thinsulate ski gloves but the variations seem relatively minor. Glovely!

Advantages: Buff up and freshen skin
Disadvantages: Skin seems a little dry after use

...I'm very lucky, as my mum works on the Boots manufacturing site, and often picks up lots of little treats for me at knock down prices from the staff shop . As Boots manufacture Soap and Glory products, I get plenty of these, and one of my current favourites is the scrub gloves, which retail for around £7 in store. These are a pair of pink stretchy gloves (one size fits all) that you put on, and then use with a shower gel to exfoliate your skin. Exfoliation has many benefits - it prevents ingrowing hairs after shaving, it stimulates blood flow, and it removes dead skin cells giving a much brighter look. While you can get some excellent scrubs that do the job, if, like me, you only have a bath in your home and not a shower, they can be annoying as you have to spend ages rinsing away the grit! The trusty rubber gloves

Disadvantages: Only available in one size, thin rubber material

...Cleaning, a pet hate of mine. I can?t not do the cleaning, so I try and make it as pleasant as possible. If I?m doing any cleaning, apart from the washing up, I like to use rubber gloves, just so I?ve got peace of mind that my hands aren?t going to go dry and horrible when using different cleaning fluids. Rubber gloves! These rubber gloves are from Asda?s Smartprice range. They come in a basic plastic bag with the usual Smartprice green and white design. The bag actually contains two pairs of gloves, so for 53 pence, this is a bargain! The gloves only come in one size, which is quite annoying for me as I only have small hands. My fingers never completely fill the entire finger in the glove so I usually have a little bit at the end that just annoys me! Although I?ve only got small hands, the gloves don?t fall off...
