Goggle eyes

...My little girl has just started proper swimming lessons. I've pretty much taken her swimming since she was born as I think being able to swim is one of the most important things a child or adult can learn in their life. In the beginning we just went to the pool to get used to the water and to instil a bit of confidence in her but now I actually want her to start learning how to swim properly and to be confident enough to be in the pool by herself. At the moment she is still quite young so I am always with her but we are getting there and you can see her confidence grow every time we go. One of the items we purchased for her on recommendation from the swim teacher was a set of goggles and I believe this was a very good idea. My little girl absolutely hates getting her eyes wet. In the bath this is the things that make her cry the most so...

Good quality kids goggles

...Good quality kids goggles When my son was learning to swim I bought him some goggles from ELC. The reason for going there for them was simply because everything I have bought from the early learning centre has been reasonably priced and fantastic quality. The goggles cost £7.49 which I believe to be really good value for money as they are really good quality and fit really well on his face. The goggles are made from a rubber material and my son says they are really comfortable against his skin and even though they fit well enough so that they don't move about on his face the strap doesn't feel too tight and cut in to his skin. The eye goggle part cups his eyes perfectly and he can easily duck his head under without any water getting through and in to his eyes. He says...

Goggle Eyes

...I learnt to swim in the 80s and have been a regular water baby ever since, but it wasn't until 2001 that I felt the need to invest in eyewear. I got into the habit of going swimming on Sunday mornings with the then boyfriend, and as one would naturally expect, talk turned to racing. I was sure I would win (he was a crap swimmer) but I didn't want any ludicrous excuses like "oh the goggles slow me down" so I decided that since he was sporting a pair, I'd have to get some of my own too, to level the playing field. I'd like to say I picked these for all the right reasons, but I didn't. I picked them because they were blue and looked pretty. The fact that they were quite cheap, and Speedo branded (and thus very cheap for Speedo) was just a bonus. I don't always rinse a chlorine-ridden swimming costume after swimming, so I wanted goggles...
