So when it came to writing out my Christmas list last year, the Skins DVD was high up on my list. Luckily for me, my boyfriend treated me to it. Skinned - It didn't leave me skinned of happiness.

Advantages: Realistic characters, interesting plot idea.
Disadvantages: Dragged on slightly in the middle, some loose ends concerning storylines.

It broached interesting topics within the story, futuristic racism against human-machines and whether or not a machine can actually feel. Lia doesn't have super powers or isn't hunted down by the Government but is a normal (alright, very vain but somewhat normal) teen who is forced into this metal body, more drama than action. The writing style is first person and I found the way Wasserman had written Lia realistic and strangely endearing even if some of the things she said were annoying. It slightly dragged on half way into the middle but the pace resumed its normal fun to read pace. Although it's marked as a children's book I wouldn't recommend it to someone under the age of fourteen because of drug use...

Dermalogica Anti-Bac Skin Wash

Advantages: Cleared up my skin quickly, last ages!!!
Disadvantages: Expensive

...Dermalogica anti-bac skin wash is best used on blemish prone skin. It is a foaming, antibacterial facewash which deeply cleanses the skin of excess oil and impurities with drying it. It contains Triclosan which helps remove bacteria and Salicylic Acid disolves dead skin cells- that last part makes it sound very harsh, but it is really not! It also conatins balm mint, coneflower and camphor to help smooth and purify the skin. It does not have any artificial fragrances or colour. Dermalogica say that you should work the gel into a lather and apply to your dampened face and throat. You should then rinse with warm water and repeat for 'professional results'. Disadvantages: Doesn't catch all stubble straight away

...I have fairly sensitive skin and up until now I have always used a wet shave razor. Wet razors didn't leave my skin burning, but they did leave the skin feeling very exposed and would cause it to dry out. Since I'd read that electric razors were good in countering this, I decided to give one a go: I went for this one because it was half price in Boots at the time and because I trust the Philips brand. I also liked that it was very easy to clean: you just have to run it under a tap, whereas other razors are a bit more tricky. It also looks quite sporty and can be used in the shower as it's completely waterproof. The first use was brilliant. It was clean and so much closer than I imagined it would be. It almost felt closer than a wet shave. Subsequent shaves have slowed down a bit and I find that I have to keep going over the same areas...
