...Being a Civil Servant, and gun enthusiast paintball is my kind of fun. But what does Skirmish Paintball hold for the user? The Location: The location near me is just on the outskirts of Warminster. Not extremely well advertised and slightly hard to find but word of mouth seems to be doing the trick. Situated inside woodland with a range of scenarios it holds a fantastic day out for all paintball players or those just looking for fun. Scenarios: Cowboy Town. Just recently been put up and although I havent played it yet, I've heard good things. Good cover, aerial positions and all sorts of tactics can be put into play. Defend the Fort. Review of Skirmish Paintball

Skirmish Paintball - Disappointing

Advantages: Biggest operator in UK so lots of them around.
Disadvantages: Old, run down, poorly equipped - other sites do it better.

...I played at Skirmish Lasham a while a ago. I enjoyed the games at Skirmish (although the site itself waa a bit run down). The basecamp is located within an old tin barn down the end of a long track in a rather dank piece of woodland. I noticed that in half of the barn was a load of old hay bales and agricultural equipment - maybe this site is run more as a hobby by a farmer. It just didn't feel very 'professional'. The game zones were ok, but more along the lines of 'pallets' nailed to trees, and piles of old decaying timber etc. There was definately no 'show business' about the place. Nevertheless, the games were fun - but that's paintball for you! The goggles they gave us did not cover the whole head and this meant that I got the head-shot of all time (on the back of my head) - it throbbed for a week! The goggles were...

Skirmish Paintball are clear leaders in the game

Advantages: FANTASTIC GAME ZONES, Fair Upfront Pricing, Very safe sites
Disadvantages: Not enough of them across the country

Quite simply, paintballing has a danger factor with it - so its important to ensure that the organisation does its best to ensure safety on the whole site. Secondly, well thought out scenarios and well built paintballing scenarios certainly enhance the fun factor and return factor for players. My Stag afternoon with Skirmish in Nottingham

Advantages: Excellant well run company. Package prices are cheaper that other companys
Disadvantages: Its in the middle of no where!!

...Last weekend I went to Nottingham for my stag weekend with my mates. Since I was scared what 12 drunken geordies would do to me if we had been on the drink all day, I opted for the easy way out!!!.I didnot fancy being stripped of my clothes and left naked in the middle of Marks and Spencers. So I decided on paintballing, as none of the group had done this before, we thought it would be a laugh. I found a number of reviews about paint balling around the Nottingham area and Skirmish got the best reviews by a long shot. Up to 500 people play every day with them. You can book by telephone on 0800 328 2785 and they have a website at www.trentleisure.co.uk. Review of Paintball - General

Fantastic single player skirmish

Advantages: Timeless RTS
Disadvantages: A bit dated?

...(you'll see!) Maps: Varied, interesting, with a great 3D feature to get you lobbing shells over buildings and hiding behind hills. Well laid out to make good struggles for resources; 9/10 times, the person with the most metal wins. MY OPINION: This game probably has one of the best mulitiplayer modes ever; even the skirmish mode keeps you hooked for hours! Get used the the pros and cons of units and develop a unique strategy. However, the skirmish AI can be quite dumb at some times, and not quite smart enough to give me a good fight anymore! Oh well, plenty of living people to beat yet! BUY IF YOU LIKE: Loads of units Loads of maps Loads of options Multiplayer over singleplayer Cheap games with lasting engagement....

It's good to be bad!

Advantages: Great game
Disadvantages: A little too easy

...Dungeon Keeper 2 is a great game. Bullfrog usually produce decent games and this is no exception. The patched version (1.7) adds new skirmish levels and Elite creatures as well as a new trap and the Maiden. The elite creatures look a little different but offer no new abilities but they are a bit different. My main criticism of the game is that it is a little bit too easy. On the skirmish levels, the Master keepers are incredibly easy to beat but that doesn't make the game any less enjoyable. I like the fact that this game offers me the opportunity of playing the bad guy for a change, rather than always being the hero of the light. This game is a very enjoyable game that lets you play the bad guy. Definitely worth a look....
