I am a keen user of Skype as I do a lot of phoning abroad and I am always looking for cheaper ways of communicating. It is a very slim phone which plug into the computer by using the USB PORT at the side of ones computer. The handset is in a fetching colour blue/turquoise and silver which looks rather smart. The keypad is easy to use and the actual buttons are very solid and are a nice size not too small. It is light in weight and the handset is easy to hold compared to the one I had before which was a little more bulky and harder to hold. So it is easy to carry with you. This phone is ideal for using the Skype facility and all one needs to do is to down load the Skype from the CD which is provided when you purchase the phone...

Advantages: free, face to face conversations online!
Disadvantages: can freeze on mobile skype

...My family first got Skype a few years back when it came out, it was really useful for talking to my brother at uni, no cost, we could see him, and it was fast so you could have a face to face conversation. Free to install and run, its perfect! I have personally had no problems whatsoever from it, even a few family and friends have got it so we can all keep in touch. You can also use any webcam which is great because we just bought a cheap £12 from currys and it works great with skype, you dont need a skype webcam unless u want to. Everybody knows it for it's free Skype to Skype calling and I'd agree that it may be the most useful feature that it has. But there is more to Skype. Free Calls ------------- Skype to Skype as mentioned is free. Two people need to be signed into Skype at their computers and they can happily talk for hours, providing their internet connection isn't super slow and they have the right equipment (microphone etc). Advantages: Talking world-wide

...Skype! Possibly the easiest way to talk with people world-wide. Its a great use of techonology to get us free calls world wide! I can't find any downside to this piece of technology other than sometimes the calls fail due to busy networks or cross country calls will have bad reception and cant be heard clearly but you can resolve this just by talking via the chat and typing messages instead of talking. You can do so much on Skype, from talking with your friend a few doors down, to talking with someone half way round the world and learning a new language! I use Skype a lot and its so useful to me as I can talk for free via the click of a button! I recommend anyone who can use a computer should get Skype!...
